Abstract

The invention provides a floating module for supporting a solar panel and which is configured for floating on top of a water surface, and to a modular floating mount comprising a series of interconnectable floating modules for supporting a series of solar panels in a floating solar power plant. Each module comprises two laterally spaced floating brackets and at least one floating arm extending between, and being disconnectably connected to, the two brackets to maintain the floating brackets at a pre-set lateral distance from each other. The floating brackets and arm are independently ballasted to stabilise the floating module atop a water surface.
