- the above port insertion portion (221) may be provided with a communication hole (H) inside. That is, the communication hole (H) may be formed at a portion where the port insertion portion (221) and the insertion port (400) communicate.
- the insertion port (400) may include a catch (410).
- the catch (410) may be provided so that at least a portion of the outer wall of the insertion port (400) protrudes outward.
- the catch (410) may be provided so as to catch on the end of the port insertion portion (221). That is, the outer diameter of the catch (410) may be provided to be larger than the inner diameter of the port insertion portion (221). Accordingly, the insertion depth when the insertion port (400) is inserted into the port insertion portion (221) may be adjusted.
- the insertion port (400) may be coupled upwardly from the lower portion of the port insertion portion (221).
- the lower end of the port insertion portion (221) may be supported by the catch portion (410).

- FIG. 6 is a modified drawing of FIG. 5, showing an insertion pipe included in a battery pack according to one embodiment of the present invention
- FIG. 7 is an X-Z cross-sectional view of FIG. 6
- FIG. 8 is an X-Z cross-sectional view of a battery pack according to one embodiment of the present invention.
- the battery pack (10) may further include an insertion pipe (500).
- the insertion pipe (500) may be configured to be inserted into the insertion port (400).
- the insertion pipe (500) may be provided in a pipe shape including an outer wall and an inner wall.
- the outer diameter of the insertion pipe (500) may be provided to be the same as or similar to the inner diameter of the insertion port (400).
- the insertion pipe (500) may be provided so that each communication hole (H) has a different cross-sectional area.
- the communication hole (H) may be formed at a portion where the connector (220) and the insertion pipe (500) communicate.
- the cross-sectional area of the insertion pipe (500) may be provided differently for each insertion port (400) into which the insertion pipe (500) is inserted, so that the flow rate of the cooling medium flowing in through the communication hole (H) may be evenly distributed. Even if the cross-sectional areas of the communication holes (H) are different, the outer diameters of the insertion pipes (500) may be provided to be the same. In other words, the cross-sectional area or inner diameter of the insertion pipe (500) inserted into the insertion port (400) is different, so that the cross-sectional area of the communication hole (H) is different.
- the insertion pipe (500) can be inserted downward (in the -Z-axis direction) from the top of the insertion port (400).
- the cross-sectional area or inner diameter of the insertion pipe (500) inserted into the insertion port (400) is provided differently, regardless of the position of each battery module (100), only an insertion port (400) of the same size needs to be manufactured without changing the inner diameter of the insertion port (400), so the problem of module mixing during assembly is minimized, and thus the assembling efficiency can be improved.
- an insertion pipe (500) having a set inner diameter according to the position of each battery module (100) is inserted into the insertion port (400), so that productivity can be improved when assembling the battery pack (10).
- each insertion port (400) is different to control the flow rate, there is a disadvantage in that insertion ports (400) with various inner diameters must be developed, and there is also a concern that mixing may occur when assembling the battery module (100) into the battery pack (10).
- the insertion port (400) instead of providing insertion ports (400) with various inner diameters, the insertion port (400) is provided in only one size, and instead, the insertion pipe (500) inserted into the insertion port (400) can be different to achieve the effect of differentially configuring the cross-sectional area of the communication hole (H). In this case, after all battery modules (100) are assembled in the pack case (300), different insertion pipes (500) can be inserted into the insertion port (400) of each battery module (100), so that the mixing problem of the battery modules (100) can be avoided.
- the inner diameter (D) of the insertion pipe (500) may be provided to become larger as it goes in one direction of the pack case (300). That is, the inner diameter of the insertion pipe (500) may be provided to become larger as it goes in the +X-axis direction.
- the +X-axis direction may be defined as a direction away from the inlet (I) or the outlet (O).
- the diameter of the communication hole (H) may also be provided to become larger as it goes in one direction of the pack case (300). That is, the inner diameter of the insertion pipe (500) may be provided to be the same as the diameter of the communication hole (H).
- the inner diameter (D1) of the insertion pipe (500) inserted into the insertion port (400) connected to the battery module (100) that is provided closest to the inlet (I) or the outlet (O) may be provided to be the smallest.
- the inner diameter (D3) of the insertion pipe (500) inserted into the insertion port (400) connected to the battery module (100) that is provided farthest from the inlet (I) or the outlet (O) may be provided to be larger than D1.
- the further away a battery module (100) is from the inlet (I) or outlet (O) of the pack case (300), the lower the flow rate of the cooling medium flowing into the battery module (100).
- the further away a battery module is from the inlet (I) or outlet (O), the larger the inner diameter of the insertion pipe (500) is, and thus the larger the cross-sectional area of the communication hole (H) is, so that the flow rate of the cooling medium flowing into each battery module (100) can be made equal.
- Figure 9 is a drawing for explaining a modified example of an insertion pipe.
- the insertion pipe (500) may include a body portion (510) and a mounting portion (520).

- a hole configured to allow a cooling medium to pass through may be formed in the above-mentioned fixing portion (520).

- the fixing portion (520) may be configured to extend from the upper portion of the body portion (510) in the outer diameter direction of the insertion port (400) and be fixed at the upper end of the insertion port (400).
- the outer diameter of the fixing portion (520) may be provided to be larger than the diameter of the hole, but may be provided so as not to extend beyond the outermost wall of the insertion port (400).
- the thickness of the mounting portion (520) may be provided to be very small compared to the thickness of the body portion (510). Even if the inner diameter of the body portion (510) is provided differently for each insertion pipe (500), the thickness of the mounting portion (520) may be provided to be constant. Accordingly, the flow of the cooling medium flowing from the connector (220) to the body portion (510) may not be impeded.
- the depth at which the body part (510) is inserted into the insertion port (400) can be determined as the fixing part (520) is fixed in the insertion port (400).
- the fixing part (520) can be held to easily remove the insertion pipe (500).

- the insertion port (400) may include a guide groove (420) configured to allow the guide protrusion (530) to be inserted.
- the guide groove (420) may be formed on the inner wall of the insertion port (400). Specifically, the guide groove (420) may be provided by recessing at least a portion of the inner wall of the insertion port (400). The recessed depth, position, etc. of the guide groove (420) may be provided to correspond to the guide protrusion (530).
- the guide groove (420) may be configured so that the guide protrusion (530) is slidably coupled from above.
- the guide groove (420) may be formed continuously along the longitudinal direction (Z-axis direction) of the insertion port (400).
- the guide groove (420) may be formed to correspond to a certain portion of the longitudinal direction of the insertion port (400), that is, the length of the guide protrusion (530).
- the guide groove (420) may be provided with a catch for supporting the distal end of the guide protrusion (530).

- productivity can be improved.
- the insertion port (400) needs to be developed in only one size, the design change of each battery module (100) or the insertion port (400) can be made easy.
- the inner diameter (D') of the second connector hole (C2) which is the part where the insertion port (400) is not inserted, is made different, so that the cross-sectional area of the communication hole (H) can be differentially applied depending on the location within the battery pack (10) of the battery module (100), as in the previously described embodiment.

- nine battery modules (100) were used as shown in Fig. 2, and the total flow rate of the cooling medium was set to 10 LPM. That is, the flow rate of the cooling medium flowing into each of the nine battery modules (100) must be evenly distributed as 1.11 LPM (11.1%), which is 10 LPM/9, in order to maximize the performance of the battery pack including such battery modules (100).
- the flow rate of the cooling medium flowing into each battery module (100) is calculated, and as a result, the cooling medium flowing into each battery module (100) flows in at a rate of 16.5%, 14.5%, 12.8%, 11.3%, 10.3%, 9.4%, 8.7%, 8.3%, and 8.2%, respectively, starting from the battery module (100) closest to the inlet (I) or the outlet (O).
- the cooling medium flowing in gradually decreases from the battery module (100) closest to the inlet (I) or the outlet (O) to the battery module (100) farthest from the inlet (I) or the outlet (O), and thus is uneven.
- the flow rate deviation the flow rate deviation in the comparative example is 8.3% (0.83 LPM), which is 16.5%-8.2%.
