- the applicant has found that the proportion of the logo in the corner area is within a certain proportion range, neither too large nor too small. Based on this, the display device can determine that the bright pixel in the first corner area is the target pixel when the proportion value determined in the above step is within the target proportion range.
- Sub-step 3034 In response to the ratio value not being within the target ratio range, determining that the bright pixel in the first corner area is not a target pixel.
- the ratio value is less than the minimum value of the target ratio range, it indicates that there are only a small number of scattered and non-blocked bright pixels in the first corner area. The impact of this situation is small, and this part of the pixels can be not determined as the target pixels; if the ratio value is greater than the maximum value of the target ratio range, it indicates that there are large areas of high-brightness pixels in the corner area, which may be the content normally displayed in the display data rather than the logo. In this case, the display device may not determine this part of the pixels as the target pixels to avoid affecting the normal display.

- a ratio range determination device which may be an independent device, such as a computer, a server, etc., or may be the display device involved in the above-mentioned embodiment, which is not limited in this embodiment of the present application.
- Each reference display image includes an identifier of a content provider of the reference display image.
- the specified number of reference display images may be screenshots of display data provided by multiple different content providers during the display process, and the screenshots may include actual display content, such as an image of a certain moment in a funny video, a movie, or a variety show, and an identifier located in a corner area of the image.
- the designated number may be preset, such as 20 to 100, specifically, 20, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100.
- the designated number of reference display images may include screenshots of display data of various current mainstream content providers when being displayed, such as major TV stations, major video platforms, etc.
- Step 303b Obtain a reference ratio value of the corner area marked in the display area in each reference display image.
- the ratio range determining device can respectively determine the specified number of reference display images, each reference display image The reference ratio value of the corner area of the display area occupied by the marker in the image is shown.
- the ratio range determination device may first obtain the region where the mark is located in each reference display image, and then determine the reference ratio value based on the ratio of the size of the region to the size of the corner region.
- the ratio range determining device may determine the area where the mark is located in the reference display image in a variety of ways:
- the ratio range determination device can use image recognition technology to identify the area where the logo is located in the reference display image. Specifically, it can first obtain the logos of multiple content providers (which can include the current mainstream content providers, such as multiple TV stations at various levels, multiple video websites, etc.), and then search for graphics that match the shapes of these logos in the reference display image, and determine the area where the logo is located in the reference display image by the area where the matching graphics are located.
- image recognition technology to identify the area where the logo is located in the reference display image.
- the area where the logo is located can be manually marked in the reference display image.
- Step 303c determine the target ratio range based on the maximum value and the minimum value of the reference ratio values.
- the ratio range determination device can determine the target ratio range based on the maximum value and the minimum value of the reference ratio values of the multiple reference display images determined in the above steps.
- the maximum value of the multiple reference ratio values can be determined as the maximum value of the target ratio range
- the minimum value of the multiple reference ratio values can be determined as the minimum value of the target ratio range.
- the ratio range determination device can multiply the maximum value of the multiple reference ratio values by a preset coefficient (such as 1.1 to 1.5) to obtain the maximum value of the target ratio range, and multiply the minimum value of the multiple reference ratio values by a preset coefficient (such as 1.1 to 1.5) to obtain the minimum value of the target ratio range.

- steps 303a to 303c may be executed before step 301, step 302 or step 303, or, may be executed after step 301, or, after step 302, or, steps 303a to 303c may be executed simultaneously with step 301, or, steps 303a to 303c may be executed simultaneously with step 302.
- the display device may continue to execute step 303 .
- Step 304 In response to the existence of a target pixel in the display area, obtain brightness data of the target pixel in a specified period of time.
- the display device can obtain the brightness data of each target pixel in a specified period of time when there is a target pixel in the display area.
- the brightness data can be used to reflect the comprehensive brightness of the target pixel in the specified period of time. Brightness data.
- the process of the display device acquiring the brightness data may include:
- the display device may first obtain the brightness of the target pixel in each frame within a specified period. For example, if the specified period is 100 seconds and the frame rate is 20 frames per second, the display device may obtain 2000 brightnesses of 2000 frames within the 100 seconds.
- the brightness may be grayscale, for example, 2000 brightnesses are 2000 grayscales.
- the display device may also obtain less brightness, for example, the brightness of a portion of frames (such as 1 frame) may be extracted from multiple frames per second.
- the display device may determine the brightness data based on the brightness of each frame within a specified period of time. For example, the average value of the brightness of these multiple frames may be used as the brightness data, and the average value may be various average values such as an arithmetic mean, a geometric mean, a square mean, and a weighted mean. Of course, the display device may also select some (such as randomly selected, or selected according to a predetermined rule) brightness from the brightness of each frame within a specified period of time to determine the brightness data, and the embodiments of the present application are not limited to this.
- the brightness data may be in grayscale.
- Step 305 Determine an attenuation factor corresponding to the brightness data in a preset lookup table based on the brightness data.
- the lookup table may include a plurality of brightness data and an attenuation factor corresponding to each brightness data. Since the brightness data may be grayscale, the lookup table may record a correspondence between a plurality of grayscales and attenuation factors.
- the lookup table can be determined in advance through testing. For example, it can be determined through pre-testing to obtain the speed at which pixels age and afterimages appear at each grayscale, so as to determine the attenuation factor corresponding to each grayscale. For example, the higher the grayscale, the faster the pixel ages and the speed at which afterimages appear, and the larger the corresponding attenuation factor can be, that is, the grayscale can be positively correlated with the attenuation factor.
- the corresponding relationship may be expressed as a brightness attenuation curve.
- the brightness attenuation curve may be located in a rectangular coordinate system.
- the x-axis may be a grayscale
- the y-axis may be an attenuation factor.
- each display device may have a corresponding lookup table, or the display devices in the same batch may have a corresponding lookup table, or all display devices may correspond to one lookup table, and the embodiment of the present application is not limited to this.
- the speed of aging and afterimage of these multiple display devices at each grayscale can be comprehensively considered. To determine the attenuation factor corresponding to each grayscale.
- Step 306 Determine the attenuated brightness of the target pixel based on a preset formula.
- the display device After obtaining the brightness data reflecting the comprehensive brightness of the target pixel in the specified time period and the attenuation factor corresponding to the brightness data, the display device can determine the attenuated brightness of the target pixel based on the brightness data, the attenuation factor and a preset formula.
- the preset formula may include:
- e is the attenuated brightness
- d is the current brightness of the target pixel, that is, the brightness of the target pixel before the brightness is reduced
- b is the brightness data of the target pixel in the specified time period obtained in the above step
- a is the attenuation factor corresponding to b.
- the display device may also determine the attenuated brightness in other ways. For example, for any gray scale, a fixed difference may be reduced. If the gray scale of a pixel is less than the difference, the gray scale of the pixel may be reduced to 0.
- Step 307 Reduce the brightness of the target pixel to the attenuated brightness.
- the display device can reduce the brightness of the target pixel to the attenuated brightness. In this way, the brightness of the target pixel is reduced, which can prevent the target pixel from being in high brightness for a long time and aging quickly and causing afterimages, thereby increasing the life of the target pixel and improving the display effect of the display device.
- the display device can control the brightness of each determined target pixel through the method provided in the embodiment of the present application.
- Step 308 Determine whether the picture displayed in the display area is a static picture. If it is a static picture, execute step 309. If it is not a static picture, execute step 310.
- the display device may further determine whether the picture displayed in the display area is a static picture.
- the display device may compare the brightness data of each frame, and when the brightness data are close, determine that the picture displayed in the display area is a static picture; when the brightness data are not close, determine that the picture displayed in the display area is not a static picture.
- Step 309 reduce the overall brightness of the display area.
- the display device may further reduce the overall brightness of the display area to eliminate the regional sense generated when the brightness of the target pixel is reduced individually, thereby improving the user experience.
- Step 310 Do not reduce the overall brightness of the display area.
- the display device may not reduce the overall brightness of the display area.
- the display control method solves the problem of high risk of display abnormality of the display device in the related art by detecting whether there is a target pixel in the display area of the display device, and the target pixel includes at least some bright pixels whose brightness reaches a specified brightness within a specified time period; and when the target pixel exists in the display area, reducing the brightness of the target pixel to avoid the target pixel maintaining high brightness for a long time and failing to emit light normally, thereby achieving the effect of reducing the risk of display abnormality of the display device.

- the display control method provided in the embodiment of the present application can be specifically applied to a control component in a display device, that is, a control component can be used to obtain display data.
- the display data may be provided by a content provider, and the display data may include the identifier of the content provider.
- the content provider may not be the direct provider of the display data, but the provider of the content included in the display data.

- the corner area is an area including the vertices of the display area. For example, when the display area is rectangular, the areas including the four vertices of the rectangle are the four corner areas.
- the display device may continue to execute subsequent steps.

- the display device can obtain the lowest brightness of the first pixel in the first corner area within a specified period of time.
- the first pixel is determined to be a bright pixel.
- the display device may determine that the first pixel is a bright pixel when the minimum brightness is greater than or equal to the specified brightness. For example, if the display device obtains that the minimum brightness of the first pixel in the specified time period is 210 grayscales and the specified brightness is 200 grayscales, the first pixel may be determined to be a bright pixel.
- this method of determining bright pixels by using the minimum brightness can improve the accuracy of the method provided in the embodiment of the present application when determining bright pixels.
- the display device can determine whether the first pixel is a bright pixel according to the duration during which the brightness of the first pixel in a specified period of time is greater than or equal to the specified brightness.
- the first pixel is determined to be a bright pixel.
- the display device may determine that the first pixel is a bright pixel when the duration of the brightness of the first pixel in the specified time period being greater than or equal to the specified brightness is greater than or equal to the specified time period.
