Abstract

A device for containing and dispensing a coating material with a cylindrical container with a removable cover on its open dispensing end and with a piston-shaped component longitudinally movable inside it which can be moved by externally operable actuating means at the other end of the container for metering the material is to be improved in such a way that, while remaining fully functional, it requires less material and is easier to handle. This is achieved in that the actuating elements have a first component (22, 29) inside the container (2) and operationnally connected to the piston-shaped component (14) and a second component (8, 9) coupable thereto which is integrated into the cover (6) and can be coupled at the other end (4) to the first component (22, 29) by fitting the cover.
