Abstract
Provee un proceso de tratamiento previo para la galvanoplastia o electrodeposicion de partes de aluminio, en el cual la solucion cincante ha sido modificada para mejorar la adherencia del galvanizado subsiguiente al substrato. La parte o tira de aluminio, tal como un cospel de moneda de aluminio o una tira para cospeles de moneda, es pretratada con una solucion cincante mejorada que provee iones hidroxido en una cantidad en el intervalo entre 75 y 175 gpl, iones zinc en una cantidad en el intervalo entre 15 y 40 gpl, iones níquel en una cantidad en el intervalo entre 2 y 10 gpl, e iones cobre en una cantidad en el intervalo de entre 1,5 - 5 gpl. Es preferible que el pretratamiento incluya una cebado de cobre aplicado a partir de un bano de cebado de cianuro de cobre bajo un pH en el intervalo de entre 8,5 - 11,0, utilizándose una corriente con una densidad en el intervalo de 0,1 a 10 A/dm2. Es preferible que los pasos de pre tratamiento y galvanizado sean llevados a cabo en un tambor giratorio, de acuerdo con otro aspecto de la presente invencion. También provee partes o tiras de aluminio galvanizadas, tales como cospeles de moneda galvanizados, que incluyen un substrato formado a partir de aluminio o de una aleacion de aluminio, y que tienen multiples superficies, una capa de cincado sobre por lo menos una de las superficies del substrato, siendo preferible que dicha capa de cincado rodee al substrato, una capa de cebado de un metal de cebado que cubre la capa de cincado, y una o mas capas galvanizadas (electrodepositadas) de uno o mas metales que recubren a la capa de cebado, adhiriéndose dicha una o mas capas electrodepositadas al substrato de manera de soportar un proceso de deformacion sin que se produzca una deslaminacion desde el substrato.
