Abstract

Un aparato para transportar y llenar un contenedor de carga, tal como un contenedor intermodal según norma ISO, con grano u otro cultivo en el lugar de cosecha. El aparato incluye un chasis adaptado para soportar el contenedor de carga y una tolva para recibir grano de una máquina cosechadora. Un transportador traslada el grano desde la tolva y hacia dentro del contenedor. La presente también comprende un método de cosecha que comprende las etapas de cosechar un cultivo en un campo con una máquina cosechadora que tiene un transportador de descarga para descargar el cultivo de la máquina cosechadora; trasladar un contenedor de carga intermodal a través del campo y adyacente a la máquina cosechadora; descargar el cultivo de la máquina cosechadora y depositar el cultivo en el contenedor de carga; y retirar luego el contenedor del campo.
