Abstract

La presente se relaciona, en general, con el campo de la inmunología y presenta composiciones inmunoprotectoras y métodos para preparar dichas composiciones a partir de células vegetales transgénicas. La presente se relaciona asimismo con el campo de la producción de proteínas (por ejemplo, la producción recombinante de enzimas, toxinas, receptores celulares, ligandos, agentes de transducción de señal, citocinas u otras proteínas expresadas en cultivo de células vegetales transgénicas) y presenta composiciones que comprenden estas proteínas. Reivindicación 1: Un método para preparar una partícula inmunoprotectora a una partícula de proteína biológicamente activa que comprende los siguientes pasos: a) transformar una célula vegetal con un polinucleótido que codifica por lo menos un antígeno inmunoprotector o por lo menos una proteína biológicamente activa; b) cultivar dicha célula transformada en condiciones que permitan la proliferación de dicha célula vegetal transformada y la acumulación de dicho antígeno inmunoprotector o dicha proteína biológicamente activa en dicha célula vegetal; c) recolectar y lavar dichas células transformadas cultivadas; d) resuspender dichas células transformadas y lavadas en un buffer de lisis; e) romper física o mecánicamente dichas células resuspendidas de tal manera que se formen partículas inmunoprotectoras o partículas de proteína biológicamente activa y f) separar el desecho celular de dichas partículas inmunoprotectoras o dichas partículas de proteína biológicamente activa. Reivindicación 8: El método de acuerdo con la reivindicación 1, en el cual el antígeno inmunoprotector es una proteína de un virus aviar.
