Abstract

Una película de envoltura elástica que comprende una mezcla polimérica que comprende (porcentaje del peso): entre 50 y 90% de una composición polímero de etileno que comprende una unidad recurrente derivada de un éster seleccionado entre (1) un monómero orgánico etilénicamente insaturado de ésteres de ácidos monocarboxílicos C3-C20 insaturados y alcoholes alifáticos o alicíclicos monovalentes C1 a C24, y (2) ésteres de vinilo de ácidos carboxílicos C2-C18 saturados, donde el contenido de éster oscila entre 2,5 y 8% del peso en base al peso total de la composición de polímero de etileno final; el polímero de etileno tiene una densidad que oscila entre 0,920 y 0,94 g/mL, y entre 10 y 50% de un componente polimérico a base de etileno que tiene una densidad que oscila entre 0,9 y 0,930 g/mL, y un índice de fluidez de hasta 4 g/10 min. La película de envoltura elástica tiene una relación entre el valor de resistencia al desgarramiento DM y el valor de resistencia al desgarramiento DT superior a 0,3 y un valor de resistencia a la tracción DM al 30% que oscila entre 6,5 y 15N. Las películas elásticas son adecuadas para utilizar como envoltorios adherentes elásticos en varias operaciones de empaquetado, embalaje y envoltura.
