Abstract

Se proporcionan sistemas y métodos para mejorar la recuperación de coproducto, tal como la recuperación de aceite, a partir de granos y/o componentes de grano usados para la producción bioquímica y/o de biocombustible, tal como la producción de alcohol (por ejemplo, etanol), utilizando surfactantes, floculantes, y/u otros agentes que rompen la emulsión. En uno o más puntos antes o durante la formación de la emulsión, al igual que después de la formación de emulsión, se agregan surfactantes y/o floculantes al proceso de producción bioquímica y/o de biocombustible, a fin de evitar emulsiones o romper las ya formadas, de modo de mejorar la recuperación de coproducto, tal como la recuperación de aceite. Reivindicación 1: Un método para la separación de coproductos de granos y/o componentes de grano usados para la producción bioquímica y/o de biocombustible, que comprende: el sometimiento de granos y/o componentes de granos molidos usados para la producción bioquímica y/o de biocompbustoble a la licuación, a fin de proporcionar una solución de almidón licuado que incluye fibra, proteína, germen y aceite libre; la separación de sólidos, que incluyen fibra y germen, para formar la solución de almidón licuado; y a continuación, y antes de la fermentación, la separación del aceite libre de la solución de almidón licuado, para obtener un coproducto de aceite, donde por lo menos uno de un surfactante o floculante se agrega a los granos y/o componentes de grano molidos antes o durante la licuación, o a la solución de almidón licuado, antes de la separación del aceite.
