Pflanzenschutzmittel.
Eines der-wichtigsten Pflanzenschutzmittel ist die Schwefelkalkbrühe, die durch Verkochen von Schwefel mit Kalk hergestellt wird. Hiebei ist die Ausnutzung des Schwefels eine schlechte, da ein grosser Teil des Schwefels in das unwirksame Thiosulfat übergeführt wird. Bei Herstellung im Grossen ist die Tatsache, dass das Produkt nur in Form von einer etwa 30% igen Losung verschickt werden kann, nachteilig.
Es wurde auch gefunden, dass Polysulfide von Alkali-oder andern Erdalkalimetallen gleich günstige Wirkung besitzen. Diese lassen sich nun nach der Erfindung in Form von festen, luftbeständigen Mischungen von Alkali-oder Erdalkalisulfid mit Schwefel herstellen, welche zum Gebrauch lediglich in Wasser aufgelöst zu werden brauchen.
Beispiel l : 100 Gewichtsteile technisches Sehwefelbarium werden mit 37 Gewichtsteilen Schwefel innig vermischt. Durch Auflösen von 1. 5 Gewichtsteilen dieser Mischung in 100 Gewichtsteilen Wasser und Abgiessen bzw. Abfiltrieren vom Bodensatz erhält man eine spritzfertige Lösung. Man kann die Auflösung auch in höherer Konzentration vornehmen und erhält durch entsprechendes Verdünnen der abgegossenen bzw. abfiltrierten Lösung die spritzfertige Lösung.
Beispiel 2 : Technisches Schwefelnatrium wird mit etwa dem gleichen Gewicht Schwefel innig vermischt. 0-5 Gewichtsteile der Mischung werden wie im Beispiel 1 in 100 Gewichtsteilen Wasser gelöst und entsprechend verwendet.
Es können natürlich auch Schwefelbarium und Schwefelnatrium usw. nebeneinander in einer Mischung verwendet werden.

It has also been found that polysulfides of alkali or other alkaline earth metals have equally beneficial effects. According to the invention, these can be produced in the form of solid, air-resistant mixtures of alkali or alkaline earth sulfide with sulfur, which only need to be dissolved in water for use.
Example 1: 100 parts by weight of technical sulfur barium are intimately mixed with 37 parts by weight of sulfur. By dissolving 1.5 parts by weight of this mixture in 100 parts by weight of water and pouring it off or filtering off the sediment, a ready-to-use solution is obtained. The dissolution can also be carried out in a higher concentration and the ready-to-use solution is obtained by diluting the poured or filtered solution accordingly.
Example 2: Technical sulfur sodium is intimately mixed with about the same weight of sulfur. 0-5 parts by weight of the mixture are dissolved in 100 parts by weight of water as in Example 1 and used accordingly.
Of course, barium sulphide and sodium sulphide etc. can also be used side by side in a mixture.
