  Differentialkolbenpumpe.

  Differential piston pump.

In the known differential piston pumps, the differential piston is sealed by three stuffing boxes which are all on the outside and are tightened separately for themselves. If internal stuffing boxes are also used, these are difficult or impossible to retighten and cannot be checked; they will therefore soon leak, which is associated with losses in the delivery quantity and in the differential action of the piston.

According to the invention, these disadvantages are eliminated in that the differential piston is only sealed by two stuffing boxes, the support rings of which face one another, and are conveniently connected to a sleeve pierced in the jacket in order to tighten both stuffing boxes by tightening a single, externally accessible pair of glands.

In the example of a standing pump shown in the drawing in vertical section
 EMI1.1
against a plate 12 which, for. B. is switched on between the housing 13 and the air chamber 14 and the pressure valve 15 carries. This base ring is also broken through towards the suction chamber 16 and the suction valve 17 at 18. The glasses 11 are accessible through a lock 19 (door).

As a result of this device, both packs J, 4 can be tightened by operating the glasses 11. This tightening takes place fairly evenly in both stuffing boxes as a result of the pressure transmission through the sleeve 7. After removing the air chamber 14 and the plate 12, however, the base ring 10 and the inner packing 3 are also there, as is the suction valve. ! 7 accessible. Since, in the embodiment shown, the sleeve 7 connecting the support rings 5, 6 is supported against a stop 20 of the housing which is effective in the direction of the glasses 11, the pack can. 3 regardless of the

The well-known effect of the pump is that it only sucks on one stroke, but pushes on both strokes.
