  Egg checker.

The invention relates to egg checkers, which consist of two truncated cones or the like located one above the other and have a lateral viewing opening and a mirror in the lower part. According to the present invention, the two truncated cones expediently made of aluminum are detachably connected at the connection point by means of a neck and the lower part containing the mirror is provided with a dark paint on its inner wall for the purpose of light concentration. The lower part containing the viewing opening and the mirror is advantageously provided with a removable base in order to enable easy cleaning. In the drawing, the new type of egg checker is illustrated in various representations.

It consists of two truncated cones a and b, joined together at their narrow points, of which the upper part a is intended to hold the egg in the manner of an egg cup, while the lower part b is provided with an inner mirror d and a viewing opening c which one can observe the fluoroscopic image of the egg.

According to the present invention, the two parts a and b, expediently made of aluminum, are releasably plugged into one another by means of a neck. Furthermore, the lower part b containing the mirror d is provided on its inside with a dark paint, for example blackened, in order to concentrate the light. This lower part b can be provided with a removable bottom to enable easy cleaning. As a result of the releasability of the parts of the egg checker, the separate parts a of a number of egg checkers can be pushed into one another, as can all parts b of the same, so that the parts packed for transport take up as little space as possible. A convex lens, to which the mirror is advantageously set at an angle of 300, can be arranged at the junction of the two truncated cones.
