Protection device for belt bucket elevators or the like.
The subject of the additional invention is an auxiliary device which is organically related to the coupling below the upper belt pulley. through which the sudden disengagement of the drive on every floor, including the ground floor and attic, can be carried out by hand by pulling a rope. Such a sudden disengagement, along with the automatic one, is highly desirable. if for reasons other than the slipping or the standstill of the belt a risk of disaster is imminent. for example when in the roller mills. Grinding courses,. \ spiratoren etc. stoppages have arisen. consequently, sparks of fire or foreign bodies can easily pass into the elevator from them.
EMI1.1
Near the belt pulley 5 and vertically below the shaft 1, a shaft 27 is mounted in plates 27a, 27b which are fastened to the elevator housing I; this shaft 27 carries two thumb levers 27c. which are intended to meet the levers 23. and further in the middle, d. H. a pawl lever 28 advantageously in the plane of the central wall 6.
At one or the other end of the shafts 27 (the latter is not shown) there is a lever 29, at the free end of which a rope 29a is tied. This rope goes through all floors

can be. A steel plate ') 0 is fastened to the lever 29 near its axis of rotation and slides on a second steel plate 31 screwed tightly onto the plate 27b. An inclined round hole 32 is drilled into both plates, through which a wire 33 is inserted.
By means of a seal. ' the loop of the wire is pulled together and this holds the lever 29 in the rest state. (Drawn with full lines in Fig. 1.)

the tooth coupling in the same way as it is after the explanation of Figs. 1-4 of the main patent by means of the abutment. 9 happens.
The ratchet lever 28 initially serves to limit the deflection of the lever 29 downwards.
As soon as this ratchet lever hits the outer circumference of the belt pulley (position II in FIG. 1), the lever 29 is stopped on its descent. A groove 34, which is expediently located in the plane of the central wall 6, is now also provided on the disk J. which serves the following purposes. If the clutch is disengaged in the manner described, it can happen. that the elevator runs backwards with fully filled buckets 8. This rewind can only take a second or a few seconds because once

prevents reverse rotation. The parts 28 and 24, however, do not prevent the disk 5 from rotating forwards under any circumstances.
This device for disengagement by hand can easily be combined with the embodiment according to FIGS. 3 and 4 of the main patent.
