Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

    Vorrichtung zum Schärfen von Sensen 11. dgl.
 EMI1.1

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 EMI1.1

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

 has become thin that it can no longer absorb the bending moment, then it bends a little (Fig. 6) and is therefore withdrawn from further processing.

   The design of the guide plate 6 enables the foremost track 8 of the scythe s to be made evenly thin to a depth of about 5-6 mm, and only from here does the transition to the original thickness of the scythe blade begin. A scythe thus receives a cutting edge by means of this device, as it was previously only produced by tapping with a hammer or by a rolling device.

   Another advantage of the device described is that the cutting path 8 remains completely straight and it is prevented from becoming wavy, which, as is well known, cannot be avoided even with the most practiced hammering with hard scythes. Scythes that have already been gelled, that is to say wavy and that were previously no longer usable, can be made usable again by the device described.

Claims (1)

PATENT CLAIM: EMI2.1 of the scythe blade is guided on this and consists of a sharpening disk and a guide plate, characterized in that the sharpening disk (5) and guide plate (6) are arranged parallel to one another at a distance (x) and the sharpening disk at the work site has the rounded guide edge facing it ( 7) reaches behind the plate by a small, gradually increasing amount (y).
