    Feedback for telephone stations.

The subject of the invention is a device for telephone subscriber stations, the purpose of which is to automatically answer an incoming call by emitting a signal of agreed significance in the event of the subscriber's absence or prevention. This signal consists of a number of characters that can be set by the subscriber before he leaves, e.g. B. chimes and shows that. Callers indicate the hour, possibly also a quarter of an hour, when the person called is likely to be back at home.

In order to also inform the caller which number he is connected to, in addition to this hour mark, a character assigned to the subscriber station, for example indicating all or some digits of the subscriber number, can be given. The device is also expediently provided with a device which registers the number of calls answered in the absence of the subscriber and shows the subscriber when he returns how many calls he can expect at the specified time.

Apparatuses have already been specified which serve similar purposes, but for a number of reasons these have not yet found further widespread use. Above all, they were too expensive for general introduction because of their intricate construction, which was mostly based on the striking mechanism of a clock. In some constructions of this kind, a reliable response to weak ringing currents was difficult to achieve.

Furthermore, with most of these clockwork devices, there was a risk that, when the spring was released, it would remain in a random position and the subscriber station would appear permanently "occupied".
 EMI1.1
which responds reliably to the weakest ringing currents that occur in practice and cannot cause faulty switching even when the spring is relaxed.

An example of a practical embodiment of the inventive concept is shown in FIG. 1 in a schematic representation. The normal central battery system (e.g.) is assumed, but the device can also be used with other systems, e.g. with a call via earth (Vienna system)
 EMI1.2
It can easily be used in semi or fully automatic systems.

When the participant leaves, he / she switches the device on by means of a switching device 1, which can be designed as a plug contact, tipper or the like, parallel to the normal participant device 2 or in its place. Furthermore, he winds the clockwork 3 by means of a key until the number "0" of the indicator disc 5 appears in front of the window 4 in the (not shown) housing. The stop 6 and pin 7, the latter as well as the latter, prevent excessive winding the pin 8 is attached to the board of the clockwork.

It is now essential that the feedback device in the idle state has an electrical property that is equivalent to that of a normal telephone set of the corresponding circuit when the phone is on-hook with regard to the reaction on the control center, for example, with the assumed circuit (ZB) the passage of direct current through a large one Capacitor (c) prevented, alternating current possible for the call.

The wound spring tries to turn the wheels of the clockwork 3 and the wind vane 9 in the direction of the arrows drawn, but this is initially prevented by the pin 10 on the relay armature 11. But if the electromagnet 12 is excited by the ringing current, it attracts the armature 11 and the clockwork starts to move. N: For a short time, even during the duration of the call, the Hpken

detector is ready to answer a new call. This arrangement ensures that even very weak currents are sufficient to trigger the movement.

During this rotation of the working shaft 15, the non-circular disk 17 and the contact device 18 cause a switching operation which is equivalent to "lifting" the receiver; here z. B. the microphone 19, which can be bridged with a choke coil 20, connected to the two exchange lines and thereby closed the circuit for direct current at the same time. The
Signal output with the aid of the toothed disc 21, the hammer 22 and the bell 23, the latter being mounted in the immediate vicinity of the microphone 19. The disk 21 is provided with 12 teeth on one half of its circumference, corresponding to the largest number of blows occurring.

   With smaller ones
Impact numbers, the teeth that are not required are covered by a smooth segment 24, the number of impacts set in each case using the pointer 25, which is firmly connected to the segment 24, on the
Scale 26 can be read. This scale is firmly connected to the disk 21 or to the housing.

After the signal has been given, the contact 18 switches back to the "applied" viewing state, whereupon the movement comes to a standstill in the rest position.

With each work cycle, the gear 5 continues to rotate by a certain angle and lets a new number appear under the window 4. After a certain number of answering calls (about 15-20), when the spring is relaxed as much as is permissible without risk of stopping, the stop 6 hits the pin 8, which is arranged so that this takes place in the rest position . Further
Calls are probably no longer answered, but a disturbance due to constant "busy" appearance due to the stopping of the feedback clockwork is excluded.

   PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Feedback for telephone stations, in which a clockwork released by the ringing current first switches a microphone into the line in a manner suitable for transmission and then emits an adjustable number of chimes in the vicinity, whereupon the movement in the rest position comes to a standstill after the microphone is switched off , characterized by a relay (11, 12) which in the unexcited state holds the wind blade (9) of the clockwork (3) and after it has responded by a lever (JJ) and a disc (14) provided with one or more notches for so long is held until the signal delivery is completed.
