Ofen.
Die Erfindung betrifft einen Ofen, welcher insbesonders für Koks u. dgl. Brennmaterial geeignet ist. Die Erfindung besteht darin, dass der Ofen als Ausfütterung mit einen leicht auswechselbaren Einsatz ausgestattet ist, der aus Asbestzement hergestellt ist. Die Verwendung von Asbestzement gestattet infolge der thermischen Widerstandsfähigkeit des Materials, dass die feuerbeständige Auskleidung, im Gegensatz zu sonstigen Ofenauskleidungen, in ganz geringen Wandstärken angewendet werden kann.
Ein Ofen nach der Erfindung ist in der Zeichnung im Axialschnitt dargestellt. Mit a ist der äussere Mantel aus Eisen od. dgl. bezeichnet. In diesen Mantel wird der der ganzen Länge des Ofens sich erstreckende Einsatz b aus Asbestzement, welcher aus einem Stück oder zusammengebauten Segmenten bestehen kann eingeschoben und der nach Abnutzung leicht durch einen neuen ersetzt werden kann. Die schnelle Auswechselbarkeit des äusserst billigen Einsatzes erlaubt den Aussenmantel des Ofens zu schonen und daher mit den geringsten Kosten die Lebensdauer des Ofens zu erhalten. Ausserdem hat aber Asbestzement bzw. Asbestbeton neben der erhöhten Flammenfestigkeit noch den Vorteil, dass es keine Schlacke ansetzt.
Es kann daher eine bedeutend geringe Wandstärke des feuerfesten Materials, sogar von 3 bis 10 mm, genommen werden, um so mehr, als die mechanische Festigkeit durch einen Armierungkörper, z. B. dünne Eisenblechzylinder oder Drahtgerippe, bedeutend gehoben werden kann. Dadurch ist aber eine bedeutende Erhöhung der Wärmeausstrahlungsausnutzung'und des Totalnutzeffektes gegeben.
