Fig. 2 zeigt einen Walzenquerschnitt mit gleichbleibender Blechstärke.

  Roller weir body.

The invention relates to the structural design of the weir bodies of roller shafts. Such weir bodies have so far mostly been made as cylindrical drums with the same wall thickness all around.

Although it is known that the forces to which the rollers are subject in the company, depending on the position of the roller, stress them differently in different directions, but so far no consideration has been given to this, partly because value was placed on the simplest construction and lightest work, part
 EMI1.1
was able to meet the various demands in the entire cylinder cross-section.

Recent studies have now shown that it may be advantageous to adapt the type of roller better to the load conditions that change during their movement. If the roller is in its lowest position on the sole, it is subjected to the greatest stress from the water pressure. At the same time it is important that it shows the slightest deflection so that the
 EMI1.2
Deflections can be larger without causing any damage, on the other hand the vo-. n The forces resulting from the water pressure are lower in accordance with the lower water depth. The clear understanding of these relationships
 EMI1.3
under the greatest stress (e.g. in the lowest layer) with regard to the direction of force at the front and back, is particularly stiffened. This stiffening can, for.

   B. can be created by choosing larger sheet metal thicknesses at the front and rear or by attaching special reinforcing members there for stiffening.

The invention will be explained in more detail with reference to the drawing. Fig. 1 shows a weir roller located in the lowest position and the adjoining part of the weir base in cross section.

The direction of the force acting on the roller is indicated by the arrow. Perpendicular to
 EMI1.4
is required on the defensive sole, the wall thickness of the defensive body is increased according to the invention at the points that are furthest away from the axis of inertia. In the present case, of the four sheet metal quadrants a, b, c and d, from which the roller is composed, the two quadrants a and c are equipped with sheets of great thickness, while the quadrants bund d near the axis of inertia are less thick.

As the following consideration shows, the design described is readily permissible. If the roller is raised, the stress and thus the axis of inertia, since the roller rotates, apparently moves through the entire cross section of the roller. The cons
 EMI1.5
is much lower than before. However, this is also permissible because on the one hand - as already indicated above - the stress is lower and, on the other hand, a greater deflection of the roller can be allowed without hesitation.

Fig. 2 shows a roll cross section with constant sheet thickness. In order to increase the moment of resistance, sheet metal lamellas e and tans are attached, which, similar to the previous one, serve to increase the moment of inertia in the inertia axis which makes this the most necessary.
