Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>
Angemeldet am 21. Dezember 1929 ; Priorität der Anmeldung im Deutschen Reiche vom 22. Dezember 928 beansprucht.

Registered December 21, 1929; Priority of the application in the German Empire of December 22, 928 claimed.
Lead cables have already been proposed in which metal strips of high strength and elasticity lie helically directly on the lead jacket. These metal strips of high strength and elasticity prevent the lead jacket from expanding in an impermissible manner when the impregnating compound inside the cable is heated. However, because of these bands, the cable has the increased tendency to expand in the longitudinal direction when its insulation is heated. However, this would equally have the known disadvantageous consequences.
According to the invention, the occurring longitudinal pulls are therefore absorbed by a second, steep-running bandage angled over the first in the same or opposite direction of lay. The bandage expediently consists of metal strips or wires of high strength and elasticity. A
EMI1.1
of the metal strips are based on the longitudinal pulls to be absorbed by them.
In the figure, an embodiment of a cable reinforced according to the invention is shown. In this case, metal strips of high strength and elasticity are applied helically to the cable provided with a lead sheath 2. On this bandage 3, a multi-thread, steep bandage 4 is applied, which consists of metal bands or wires of high strength and elasticity.
