Cooling arrangement for electrical machines It is known in electrical machines to cool the inside of the rotor on the one hand and the rotor outer surface or the pole space on the other hand by separate cooling air flows, these entering the machine interior in a substantially axial direction.
In designs of this type, it is also known to also arrange the brush bolts on the bearing plate itself. As a result, in these arrangements, the number and size of the air inlet openings are significantly limited.
The invention relates to an arrangement which overcomes this deficiency of the known designs.
According to the invention, a space and building material-saving arrangement with highly effective cooling is achieved by placing the brush holders (bolts, mounting rails) on the bearing plate, which is also designed as a rotatable brush holder, radially between the inflow openings, which are of different diameters, for the separate air flows for the inside of the rotor and the Runner outer surface are arranged.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing.
1 is the housing of an electrical machine, 2 is a bearing plate, 3 is the shaft bearing, 4 is the machine shaft. The commutator body 5 and the armature (not shown) sit on this.
The machine is ventilated in a known manner by two air currents, one of which, as indicated by arrows, is passed outside the rotating part of the machine, i.e. essentially over the outer surface of the commutator and then between the stationary poles, while the other air flow the inside of the rotor penetrates by being fed to the armature through an inner channel 6 of the commutator. 7 and 8, respectively, are the air inlet openings to the outside of the rotor and to the inside of the rotor, which are provided with different diameters.
10 are the brush bolts inserted in the end shield with the interposition of insulation 11, which are arranged between the air inlet openings 7 for the rotor exterior and the air inlet openings 8 for the rotor interior. 9 is a funnel-like shaped air guiding device arranged on the end shield, which protrudes into the interior of the hub of the commutator and thereby prevents the commutator, acting as a fan, from deflecting part of the internal cooling air flow outwards.
Because the air inlet openings for both air flows and the brush bolts are each on different diameters, both the air inlet openings for the inner and the outer air flow can be used in an uninterrupted sequence over the whole
