Um bei der durch das Patent Nr. 6167 geschützten Explosionskraftmaschine Gasund Luftverluste zu vermeiden und um weiters die Baulänge des Motors auf das geringste Mass zu verkleinern, werden die Eintrittskanäle für das Gas k4 und für die Luft/ & '3 in den Mischraum m einerseits und die Austrittskanäle k3 für das Gemisch in den Zylinder andererseits am Umfange der hohlen Kolbenstange gegeneinander so versetzt, dass die Zuführungskanäle 04 und Cg bei der Auswärtsbewegung der Kolbenstange mit den Kanälen A : g nicht in Verbindung treten können.
Fig. 1 zeigt einen Längsschnitt durch den Arbeitszylinder und Fig. 2 einen Querschnitt bei k3 durch die hohle Kolbenstange.
Die Wirkungsweise dieser Maschine ist die gleiche wie bei der im Stamm-Patent beschriebenen.
Bei der Bewegung des Kolbens nach links wird zuerst der Gaskanal 04 abgesperrt ; durch den noch offenen Luftkanal c6 bläst die frische Luft die letzten Reste des Gemisches in den Zylinder, so dass vor Abschluss von c6 im Raume m sich nur reine Luft befindet.
Dadurch wird ein Deckungs-bezw. Dichtungsrohr über der heraustretenden Kolbenstange (siehe rechte Seite) überflüssig und der Kreuzkopf kann direkt-ohne Zwischenstückan die hohle Kolbenstange angeschlossen werden.
