   Vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf einen Fassreifen, der sich in bekannter Weise gegen die Innenseite der Daubenköpfe legt und den Zweck hat, die Festigkeit und Dauer-   haftigkeit   des Fasses zu erhöhen ; ein Bruch der Daubenköpfe beim Fallen des Fasses wird bei Anwendung solcher Reifen vermieden. Das Wesentliche der Erfindung besteht darin, dass'die Enden des offenen Eisenreifens mit einem Kniehebel ausgestattet sind, der nach Durchbiegung in die Strecklage mittels einer an ihm angeordneten Platte, die man durch eine Schraube an dem Daubenkopfe befestigt, in der Strecklage gesichert wird. 



   In Fig.   i   der Zeichnung sieht man den Reifen eingelegt, im nichtgespannten Zustand. 



  Fig. 2 zeigt ihn gespannt und befestigt. 



   Das Einsetzen eines solchen Reifens geschieht folgendermassen : Der dem Fasse angepasste Reifen   a   wird auf den Fassboden gelegt. Durch Druck auf die Platte d gelangt der Kniehebel bein die Strecklage, wodurch der Reifen a gespannt und an die Daubenköpfe angepresst wird. Um nun den gespannten Reifen in seiner Lage zu sichern, wird die an dem Kniehebel angeordnete Platte   d   durch eine Schraube e an dem Daubenkopf befestigt.
