Tool and method for peeling line connections on slip rings for electrical machines The invention relates to a peeling tool for producing line connections on slip rings for electrical machines by peeling off chip-like parts from the surface layer of the slip ring, which are bent like claws for use as connection means.
In known processes for the production of line connections on slip rings, a tool i is used which has the shape of a conical, longitudinally slotted sleeve, which is attached to the slip ring perpendicular to the face of the slip ring in order to carry out the clipping process in such a way that it simultaneously produces two claw-like claws from the surface layer of the slip ring bore Chips off. It has been shown, however, that with this working method the cutting edges of the peeling sleeve easily splinter if the material used to manufacture the slip rings is hard and brittle. The tools therefore require frequent replacement, particularly in the case of bronze slip rings, or have to be reground after just a few operations, which makes the manufacture of slip rings considerably more expensive.
According to the invention, to avoid these disadvantages, a tool is proposed which has a cylindrical circumferential surface at least on its cutting edge zone, into which an at least approximately axially parallel longitudinal groove is ground to produce the cutting edge, the hollow cylindrical boundary surface of which intersects the circumferential surface at an acute angle.
With this peeling tool, according to a further proposal of the invention, line connections to slip rings can be produced in such a way that the peeling tool, which is introduced with its cutting edge at least approximately axially parallel into the bore of the slip ring, is attached to the bore wall there and that, in order to execute the approximately tangential to the bore wall of the slip ring running peeling cut tool and slip ring are rotated against each other.
In the drawing, as an embodiment of the invention, a slip ring with a peeling tool located in the working position is shown in Fig. 1 ra.
As a second exemplary embodiment, FIG. 2 shows a slip ring with two pairs of claws used to connect a line.
The slip ring 10 according to FIG. 1, made of brass, has a pair of claws designated 11 and 12, which serve to receive a connecting conductor 13 indicated in broken lines. Using a peeling tool 14, the pair of claws has been cut like a chip from the surface layer of the slip ring bore 15.
The peeling tool 14 shown in its working position during the peeling process for a new pair of claws consists of a short steel cylinder, the diameter of which is about 70-80% of the slip ring bore. A longitudinal groove 17 is cut out of the outer surface of the steel cylinder over an angle ct of approximately 900. This groove is defined in its width by a hollow cylindrical surface 18 or
19 limited, which forms a cutting edge 20 or 21 with the outer surface of the steel cylinder.
To make the peeling cuts running approximately tangentially to the bore wall 15 of the slip ring, the slip ring 10 is gripped in a collet (not shown) in such a way that the collet exerts a clamping pressure that is as evenly distributed as possible over the circumference of the slip ring. Then the tool 14 is introduced on a mandrel 16 approximately axially parallel into the slip ring bore and placed with its cutting edge 20 on the bore wall.
When the tool is in the
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Direction of the arrow is rotated in relation to the fixed slip ring, the cutting edge releases a chip 24 from the surface layer of the slip ring because of the eccentric arrangement of the dome 16, the free end of which slides along the hollow cylindrical surface 19 as the angle of rotation increases
EMI2.1
The associated, Fig. 1 claw, not yet shown, can be produced by rotating the peeling tool 14 against the direction of the arrow shown and with its cutting edge 21 applied axially parallel to the bore wall of the slip ring.
Clamping the slip ring in a collet has the advantage that the slip ring does not warp during the peeling process. In this case, it is of course also possible to turn the collet together with the slip ring to be machined in the opposite direction to the peeling tool in order to accelerate the peeling process.
Since each of the cutting edges of the tool are formed by the circumferential surface of the steel cylinder 14 and the hollow cylinder surfaces 18 and 19 ground into it. the pressure occurring during the peeling process is distributed approximately evenly on the circumferential surface adjacent to this cutting edge and the inwardly facing incised cylinder surface. This prevents the cutting edges from breaking out with great certainty, so that the tool has a long service life even when using very hard materials for the slip rings.
In the slip ring according to FIG. 2, two pairs of claws 31, 32 and 33, 34 are spaced apart from one another and cut out of the bore wall 35. A tool, not shown, is used for this purpose, which is shaped essentially similarly to the one according to FIG. 1, but has two cutting edges lying one behind the other in the axial direction, between which a distance remains which, after the claws have been peeled off, one designated in FIG Leaves the bridge.
The double claws according to FIG. 2 result in a sufficiently secure fastening for a connection cable, not shown, even in the case of the toughest load. In some cases, however, it is sufficient to peel off only two claws, for example those designated 31 and 32 in FIG. 2, instead of the four claws shown.
The particular advantage of the tool shape shown and described is that the cutting edges can be easily reworked with a cylindrical grinding body, which has the diameter of the hollow cylinder 18 and 19 and is pivoted around the axis of the dome 16 during its working movement, without any particular requirement Precautions for maintaining constant cutting angles are required as these cannot change during this post-processing. This results in a significant simplification in the maintenance and adjustment of the peeling device.
