Microscope, especially for measuring nuclear traces
The subject matter of the invention relates to a microscope, in particular for measuring nuclear traces, with the aid of which it is possible to also measure spatially extending nuclear traces in an emulsion. The measurement of such traces must be done in the way. respectively,. that the respective depth of the track in the emulsion is determined at fixed intervals with optimal lighting and the spatial course of the same is calculated from this.
Devices of this type with which these measurements can be carried out quickly and with sufficient accuracy are hitherto unknown.
According to the invention, a microscope for carrying out such measurements is designed so that its objective and its condenser can be measured together by known means from a drive for the purpose of focusing so that optimal illumination is ensured for every position of the objective.
An advantageous embodiment of such a microscope results when leaf springs are used to guide both the objective and the condenser.
An embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the diagram in the drawing.
In the figure, the eyepiece, objective and condenser are labeled 1, 2 un. d 3 numbered. The objective 2 and the condenser 3 are carried by guide bodies 4 and 5. which are arranged to be movable in the direction of the optical axis of the microscope by means of band springs (not shown). The lens 2 is moved by a rotary knob 6 which is directly coupled to a pinion 7. Between this pinion 7 and a toothed rack 8 attached to the guide body 4 there is a gear 9 for the transmission of the movement Lens required.
The depth of the respective observed point of the nuclear track within the emulsion can be read on a scale 10. To achieve optimal lighting, the code sensor must also be moved in the same direction as the lens at the same time. However, the magnitude of the movement of these two parts is different. For the simultaneous movement of the condenser 3, a further toothed wheel 11 is in engagement with the pinion 7, which transmits every movement of the pinion to a toothed segment 12. This tooth segment is located at one end of a two-armed lever arm 13 which rests on a blade bearing 14. The other end of the lever arm 13 is connected via a rod 15 to a one-armed lever 17 mounted on a knife bearing, ger 16.
This lever acts with its convex end 18 on the guide body 5 and raises or lowers it in the. corresponding relation to the lens movement. For adjustment and adaptation to interchangeable lenses, it is advantageous if the lever lengths and / or
