Laufbildwerfer

Fig. 6 im einzelnen dargestellt.

<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

Motion picture projector
The invention relates to a motion picture projector with a switching shaft by means of which a light shutter is moved and a switch for the drive motor is actuated.
Such motion picture projectors have hitherto been produced primarily as transportable devices, in particular built into cases, for relatively small performances. The common switching shaft used for easy operation for the light shutter and drive motor was switched on and over! 1 loins used.
In cinema theater machines with a large motor power, on the other hand, the
Operating handle of the fire protection flap independent motor switches that were connected to a starter, as it is not possible to switch on such motors immediately. However, the presenter has to switch to two different places when he does
Wants to set machines in motion, which makes it difficult to operate the machine and is particularly important when a demonstrator has to operate several machines.
These disadvantages are avoided according to the invention in that the switching shaft is provided with at least one cam track which interacts with contacts and thereby switches at least one starting stage of the motor, and that the shaft is one of the
Engine speed-influenced locking piece is assigned, which has a locking surface that interacts with a stop located on the shift shaft and stands in the way of the stop at low speed, but is removed from it at higher speed, so that the shift shaft only rotates further into a position bridging the starting stage can be when the engine speed has exceeded a certain minimum value. This ensures that the light shutter is only opened when the film speed is sufficient.
In a particularly advantageous design, cams are provided on the selector shaft, which initially drive the motor via a front

Flap to rotate this against, whereby the friction between him and the bracket 11 is relatively large, so that he
Flap brakes. When swiveling out the
When the flap is in the closed position, the extension rotates out of the path of the flap and releases it with relatively little friction.
The shift shaft 4 runs in a shift housing 18, which is attached to the gear housing 1 and shown open in FIG. 1. A return spring 19 connects the shift shaft 4 to the shift housing 18 and tries to hold it in a rest position.
Following the return spring 19, a locking disk is seated on the shift shaft 4
20. It has four grooves 21, each of which lies opposite one another in pairs, and a stop lying parallel to the selector shaft
22. Furthermore, there are a number of cams lying next to one another on the switching shaft 4
23 attached, which switching springs 24 are assigned with contact pairs.
The end of the control shaft 4 on the left in Fig. 1 is coupled to the rotary valve 25 of an air valve 26, which is connected on the one hand by a line 27 to a suction fan, not shown, on the other hand by a line 28 with parts of the projector to be cooled in the diaphragm housing 2 connected is.
A rail 29 is slidably mounted in the switch housing 18. A spring 32 is tensioned between its angled end 30 located at the top and a toggle lever 31 (FIG. 2). The ends of the toggle lever 31 are each articulated to one end of two levers 33 and 34, which are rotatably mounted in the housing 18 about bolts 35 and 36 and carry rollers 37 and 38 at their free ends. The parts mentioned represent a locking device: when the spring 32 tries to stretch the toggle lever 31, the rollers 37 and 38 rest against the locking disc 20 and snap into the grooves 21 thereof. As a result, they hold the selector shaft 4 in certain positions.
A locking piece 39 (FIG. 3) is attached in an articulated manner to the rail 29 and, in its rest position, is applied by a torsion spring 40 against a stop 41 attached to the rail 29. In the vicinity of its upper end, the rail 29 has an elongated hole 42. It is partially covered by a plate 43 which has a semicircular cutout 44 at its lower end.
An eye 45 of the switch housing is perpendicular to the rail 29. 18 a retaining bolt 46 is slidably mounted.'s left end is connected to the armature 47 of an electromagnet
48 connected. A spring 49 tries the
To hold the retaining bolt in the position shown; he lies in the position shown against the plate 43. The bolt has in the
Near its right-hand end there is a downwardly open recess 50 and a laterally lying groove 51 into which a tongue
52 engages. This spring is on an adjusting shaft
53 attached, which is connected to a centrifugal governor, not shown, actuated by the drive motor of the projector.
The cams 23 and the contact pair attached to the switching springs 24 are shown in FIG
Fig. 6 shown in detail. A motor cam 54 is articulated with one on the
Shift shaft 4 attached disc 55 connected and is by a spring 56 in his
Rest position against one serving as a stop
Bund 57 of the disc held. A contact pair 58 is assigned to it.
A fade cam 59 is like the cam
54, but in a different angular position, articulated and resiliently attached to the selector shaft 4 and assigned to a contact pair 60. This is followed by a sound lamp cam 61, which is firmly connected to the control shaft 4 and a pair of contacts assigned to it during approximately half a rotation
62 closes. A similarly designed starting cam 63 is assigned to three contact pairs.
This is followed by an interrupter cam 65, which generally keeps a contact pair 66 assigned to it closed and only releases it in one rotational position. Finally, an auxiliary cam 67 similar to the sound lamp cam with a pair of auxiliary contacts 68 is also seated on the switching shaft 4.
The phase conductor RST and the neutral conductor of a three-phase network are fed to the film projector 1. A line 69 leads from the phase line T via the pair of contacts 58 and the coil 70 of a relay to the neutral conductor. A line 71 is connected between the contact pair 58 and the coil 70 and leads to the contact pair 66 via a holding contact pair 72. This is connected again to the phase line T by a line 73 via an emergency switch 74, which is closed in the rest position and designed as a push button switch, and a film tear switch 75 influenced by the film tape.
The phase lines RST are connected via a main switch 76 and a series resistor 77 to the drive motor 78 of the picture
EMI2.1
Via the contact - the two sides of the series resistor: 77 directly to one another.
For the cross-fading operation, the projector 80 described above is combined with a second projector 8i.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
which is constructed in the same way.
In Fig. 6 of the corresponding parts of the projector, only the control shaft 4 ', the

Cycle pair 66 'shown, furthermore the electromagnet 48' with the retaining bolt 46 '. Of the
Holding magnet 48 'is connected to a direct current source 83' via a line 82 and the pair of contacts 60. The auxiliary contact pair
68 'is connected in parallel to the contact pair 66, as is the auxiliary contact pair 68
Breaker contact pair 66 '.
If the projector is switched off, it is
Contact pair 58 open and the motor 78 without power. If the switching shaft 4 is rotated with the aid of the hand lever 5, the cam 54 first closes the pair of contacts 58, the
Coil 70 receives current and attracts its armature, so that the pair of holding contacts 72 are connected and the main switch 76 is switched on. The motor 78 receives current via the series resistor 77 and starts up. As the shaft continues to rotate, the cam 54 slides off the pair of contacts 58 again. The coil 70 continues to be energized, which is supplied via the lines 73 and 71. After a further rotation, the starting cam 63 closes the pair of contacts 64 so that the resistor 77 is bridged by the line 79. The motor 78 then runs at full voltage.
If you try to continue rotating the selector shaft too quickly, the stop 22 hits against the locking piece 39. The rail 29 cannot evade since it is prevented from reaching its maximum position by the end of the retaining bolt 46 serving as a stop.
It is then in the position according to FIG. 4.
If the speed of the motor is high enough, the adjusting shaft 53 rotates counterclockwise and pushes the retaining bolt 46 to the right. The rail 29 can then engage in the recess 50 so that the locking piece 39 allows the shift shaft to continue rotating. The rail does not return to the starting position, although the locking piece 39 hangs freely, but sits with the plate 43 on the end of the retaining bolt 46. The spring 32 is therefore tensioned so that the rollers 37 and 38 snap into two grooves 21 when the switching shaft is rotated further into the operating position.
As the switching shaft continues to rotate, the transition cam 59 briefly closes the contact pair 60. There is a current surge in the electromagnet 48 'of the projector 81, so that its retaining bolt 46' is withdrawn and the machine is switched off in a manner to be described below. At the same time, the sound lamp cam closes the contact pair 62 so that a sound lamp 84 connected to it
Receives power from a power source 85; At the same time, the light shutter flap is also swiveled out of the light cone 10, and the
Image projector 80 demonstrates.
During this movement of the shaft, the rotary valve 25 of the air cock 26 has also established a connection between the lines 27 and 28, so that the film-guiding
Parts and the film itself are cooled.
If the other projector is to be cross-faded again, its cross-fade contact, not shown, is closed and a current surge is passed into the electromagnet 48. This pulls the retaining bolt 46 back to the left, so that the rail
29 falls, the spring 32 is relaxed and the rollers 37 and 38 release the locking disc 20. The switching shaft is then returned to its starting position by the return spring 19, the cams 54 and 59 being ineffective because they fold over against the force of their springs 56. The cams 61 and 63 release their contact pairs again.
Shortly before reaching the end position, the interrupter cam 65 opens the connection of the contact pair 66 for a short time. If the auxiliary contact pair 68 'is disregarded, the coil 70 would be without current and its armature would fall off, so that the main switch 76 and the holding contact pair would open 72 would be separated again. The auxiliary contact pair 68 'is, however, kept closed by the auxiliary cam 67' as long as the projector 81 is not completely switched on or off.
As a result, the switching shaft 4 does return to its starting position when fading, but the pair of contacts 66 is still bridged by the pair of auxiliary contacts 68 ', so that, as is generally desired, the motor 78 continues to run, even when the demonstration of the projector 80 is interrupted in the above-described manner 1 until the running out film end opens the film break switch 75, so that the entire film end is still conveyed through the projector. Only then will the initial situation be restored. 1
If, on the other hand, the switching shaft 4 is rotated as long as the projector 81 is fully switched on or off, this bridging does not take effect and the motor 78 is stopped in the manner described above.
The auxiliary contact pair 68 also acts on the contact pair 66 'of the projector 81.
If the emergency switch 74 is actuated or if the film that is being torn off opens the film tear switch 75, the coil 70 is also de-energized and the projector stops. The adjusting shaft 53 rotates clockwise and pulls the retaining bolt 46 to the left, so that in turn the rail 29 falls down and the
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
Shift shaft 4 returns to the starting position. When the switching shaft returns, the light shutter 6 folds up again and, braked by the stop piece 13, lies down again in the retaining groove 12.
In FIG. 7, an embodiment is shown which manages without the relay 70, 72, 76. The phase lines RST are each connected via lines 86 to a contact 87, to which a further contact 88 and 89 is assigned on both sides. Each contact 88 is connected to the motor 78 via a line 90 and the series resistor 77, and each contact 89 is directly connected to the motor. Each contact set 87, 88, 89 is assigned a cam disc 91 which has an actuation curve formed in two stages 92, 93 and is fastened on the switching shaft 4.
When switching on, each stage 92 first connects the contacts 88 and 87, so that the motor 78 receives current via the series resistor 77. If the switching shaft 4 is rotated further, the stage 93 closes a direct connection via the contacts 89 to the motor, so that the motor continues to run at full voltage.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Motion picture projector with a switching shaft, by means of which a light shutter is moved and a switch for the drive motor is operated, characterized in that the switching shaft (4) is provided with at least one cam which interacts with contacts and thereby at least one starting stage of the motor ( 78) switches, and that the shaft is assigned a locking piece (39) which is influenced by the engine speed and which has a locking surface that interacts with a stop (22) located on the shift shaft and that stands in the way of the stop at low speed, but at higher speed is removed from this so that the selector shaft can only be turned further into a position that bridges the starting stage,
when the engine speed has exceeded a certain minimum value.
