Carburetor with filling compound for hydrocarbon engines.
The invention consists in that the filling compound causing the distribution of the liquid hydrocarbon is enclosed in an elastic, flexible wire vessel inserted into the evaporation chamber.
The drawing shows the invention applied to a spiral tube-shaped carburetor; however, any shape of carburetor can be used instead.
In the chamber a, which is connected to the cylinder of the machine, a cone 6 is installed, which is to be heated until it is red hot before it is started, and a spiral evaporator coil c rests on its inner (or outer) surface. In this, according to the invention, there is an insert d made of flexible, elastic wire mesh, which is filled with turnings or another suitable mass f to enlarge the heating surface. This carburetor can be heated from the inside by a special flame and from the outside by the exhaust gases of the machine that are passed through chamber a.
If, for example, a pump driven by the control shaft of the machine pushes liquid fuel through the pipe i soldered to the evaporator coil, it flows through the pipe k into the valve chamber of the machine in high-tension gas due to the large heating surface and the energetic heating.
The elastic wire mesh with its filling compound can either be adapted to its shape according to the particular shape of the carburetor or the snake shape of the insert shown in the drawing can be retained for any pre-gas shape.
The present type of carburetor is particularly suitable for carrying out those working processes according to which the supply of hydrocarbon gases at the end of the compression period takes place only under the effect of the overpressure prevailing in the carburetor.
The essence of the invention is that by creating an elastic and flexible insert, regardless of the respective evaporator shape, with the greatest possible utilization of the heating surface, thorough and rapid cleaning of the easily exchangeable insert is made possible, which is particularly useful for those with crude oil (naphtha ) working machines, the carburettors of which have to be subjected to frequent cleaning, achieves great time and labor savings.
