Stromzuführung für elektrische Schienenfahrzeuge

men (vgl. österr. Patentschrift Nr. 217. 580).

Power supply for electric rail vehicles
EMI1.1
men (see Austrian Patent No. 217,580). Sometimes these locomotives are assigned their own track or track network, which they either do not have to share at all or only have to share with locomotives without catenary. But sometimes it also happens that the driving range of this locomotive is completely or partially covered with the driving range of normal overhead line locomotives. For remote-controlled locomotives of the second type, there are still no difficulties if one ensures that the locomotives or their different voltages do not interfere with one another by suitable separation into sections and corresponding respective contact wire switching. In the case of locomotives of the first type, however, such a separation is quite difficult, if not impossible.
In this case, the following solutions are possible.
If the locomotive only carries out a shuttle service and the driving range is not too large, a cable drum can be arranged on the locomotive in a known manner and the power can be supplied in this way.
If, on the other hand, the locomotive is to carry out a roundabout, a cable cannot be used and conductor lines could possibly be arranged laterally on the inside of the circle if there are no tracks within the circle used.
However, if there are also tracks within the circle or if the locomotive should be able to run on several tracks, the problem can be solved according to the invention by using known power rail ducts (e.g. Gainélec system from Tcurtellier / Mulhouse), which are also implemented with switches, Above the tracks, where the overhead line is normally located, and the canal itself or a line attached to the outside of the canal replaces the overhead line.
With this solution, as with the aforementioned cable drum, more than two lines can be arranged if, for example, in addition to the usual commands forwards, backwards, faster, slower, sand, clutch off and clutch on, a speed control with measured value transmission from the locomotive to the control station is required, or if, in addition to the fixed control stations, a control station must also be installed on the locomotive itself and in all cases no radio transmission should be used.
The drawing shows a solution according to the invention, u. Between left to right a normal overhead line locomotive 1, a cross-section through the power rail channel 2 used, the remote-controlled locomotive 4, which of course could also use the outside line 3 in addition to the lines 5 in channel 2, and a switch system.
The invention is not limited to systems with ordinary and remote-controlled locomotives ben, but also applicable in cases where non-remote-controlled locomotives with different power systems travel the same route.
