Moved back enough so that the winding is deposited by the pins on a suitable bearing words3, which consists of a pair of chains 28. The joints of the latter are hollow on their upper sides, forming bearings for the winding. The chains 28 are connected to one another by cross pieces 29 and go via drums or wheels which are fastened to shafts 30. Two of these shafts and wheels are placed far enough apart so that there is sufficient chain length to accommodate a number of wraps that are removed from the mold. A bar 31 ensures the removal of the winding from the pins, and this is effected by a movement of the carriage in the opposite direction.
While the winding is now being removed from the mold, the mold parts 11 and 12 are reunited. This is done because it has been shown in practice that it is useful to keep the parts of the same shape together as possible. It happens more often that the parts warp and then the disadvantage turns out that if parts of different shapes are to work together, this does not happen in an exact way. The union of the parts of the empty molds is brought about by a downward movement of the slide 3. As soon as this union has taken place, the empty form can be dispensed from the machine. The sliders 8 are moved backwards for this purpose, which is effected by a pair of angle levers 32, 33, which are tapped at M on the machine frame.
These levers are set in motion by a suitable eccentric and lever arrangement; the connecting rod hktür is indicated at 35. The arm 33 of the angle lever cooperates with a link 36 which is connected to the sliders. As soon as the latter are moved backwards in order to release the hooks 9 from the cutouts 7 (FIG. 4), the whole stack of molds is lowered until the hooks. 9 are located opposite the cutouts 7 between the parts of the shape closest to the bottom shape. The slides 8 are now moved in such a way that the hooks!) Engage in the cutouts after the lowermost mold is moved downwards. The position of these parts can be seen from FIG.
A projection 37 now strikes against the lowermost form on a slider located in tracks below the form. The latter carries the empty form over the machine, whereupon

the latter is moved by a chain transmission by means of a chain 46. This chain runs over a wheel 47 that sits loosely on the shaft 4. S of the machine. The latter shaft, through an intermediate device, drives the arm for delivering the cigars to the wrapping device.
Since the molds contain several coils and the transmission device only removes one roll from the chain, the molds are only opened and closed after a certain number of oscillations of the arm transferring the cigar. So if the mold contains about 20 wraps, the mold will be opened and closed after 20 oscillations of the arm mentioned. The device for opening and closing these forms and for transferring the winding is made by means of a special device, e.g. D-a clutch or the like, accordingly set in motion in certain time segments.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. A cigar machine, characterized in that the forms receiving several laps automatically open and the laps are automatically transferred from these forms to the winding device.
