  Radiator, especially for transformers
The invention relates to a radiator, in particular for transformers, with links made from ribbed extruded profiles. The radiators previously made of sheet iron or cast iron, which can also be covered with shared half-tubes, have unfavorable properties in terms of manufacturability, heat conduction and corrosion and are also heavier. There are also radiators with links made of ribbed light metal extruded profiles and the cross connection containing casting heads have become known. However, these finned tubes with a circular cross-section have the disadvantage that the internal heat exchange surface is too small and thus circulation or

Reverse flows can result in the pipe. The cast heads make it difficult to access the connection welds. According to the invention, all these disadvantages are eliminated in that the extruded profiles are flat and multi-chambered and are preferably covered by half-tubes known per se. The flat design allows a larger internal heat exchange surface, which is further increased by the subdivision webs that are particularly inexpensive to produce in the extrusion process for static reasons.

The subject matter of the invention is shown, for example, in the drawings, FIG. 1 showing an elevation of a finished radiator partially in section and FIG. 2 showing a cross-sectional view thereof.

As can be seen from the drawings, flat, multi-chamber finned tubes produced using the extrusion process --1-- are welded with cast bodies --2-- and lined up in any number. At one end of the cast heads - 2-- lined up next to one another, the connection flange --3-- is located on the transformer tank, while the opposite end is closed with a cover --4--. As a final addition to the half-shell-shaped casting heads - 2 - there is a half-pipe - 5-- reaching over all the casting heads. This design was chosen because if full cast heads were used, the connecting seams between the cast heads between the extruded profiles would not be easily accessible and a perfect sealing weld could not be guaranteed there.

In the case of execution as shown, however, the individual links can be separated

welded on. So that all weld seams are underlaid, the cast half-shells are offset at the edges.
