<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>
<Desc/Clms Page number 7>
<Desc/Clms Page number 8>
<Desc/Clms Page number 9>

<Desc/Clms Page number 10>
<Desc/Clms Page number 11>

The invention relates to a profile bar, in particular a purlin profile for supporting flat, plate-shaped elements, preferably for roofs with large spans, for example for a glass roof. Furthermore, the invention relates to a supporting structure and a roofing system, for example for a glass roof of a terrace.
Various profiles and supporting structures made with these profiles, for example for glass roofs, are known. Such supporting structures are usually composed of plastic or metal profiles and serve as a basic framework that is equipped with glass plates or cladding panels for the production of conservatories, glass houses, canopies, etc. The supporting structure consists essentially of a horizontally continuous connecting profile for supporting supporting profiles and the bluntly attached lateral supporting profiles for receiving the cover plates, the connecting profile being attached directly to a building wall with supporting profiles arranged on one side as a wall connecting profile. With support profiles arranged on both sides, the connection profile can also be used as a gable profile.
To connect the profiles, special angle profiles are required, with which each support profile must be attached to the connection profile, which means that the support structure is laborious, time-consuming and labor-intensive to assemble.
It is also disadvantageous that many different profiles and special connecting pieces for such supporting structures have to be kept in stock.
EMI1.1
is known, which comprises a continuous connection profile, support profiles which can be butted thereon are provided for support thereon. This profile also uses various profiles and locking bars that require extensive storage. In addition, the control rod requires a flat mounting surface, which means that precise mounting is necessary. Accurate work is very time consuming.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The object of the invention is therefore to provide a profile bar of the type cited at the beginning, with which the disadvantages mentioned above are avoided on the one hand and which is also simple to manufacture on the other hand and ensures the required static load.
The object is achieved by the invention. The profile bar according to the invention is characterized in that this profile bar is designed as a hollow profile, the cross section being substantially U-shaped and an intermediate plate being provided at a distance from the flank ends, and in that the flank ends have supports directed towards the vertical central axis. With the invention it is possible for the first time to produce a profile rod that is simple in construction and is suitable for roofing, in particular for glass roofs, with large spans. The profile bar is designed as a hollow profile, in particular as an extruded profile with a simple cross section, and is relatively simple and easy to manufacture. Installation is also to be carried out efficiently.
The glass panes can also be mounted with the simplest of means, since the supports which are arranged in the end region of the flank ends provide a good support surface.
According to a development of the invention, the profile bar is made of aluminum.
The advantage here is that the known good properties of aluminum can be used without restriction.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, the profile bar is powder-coated. This can be done for corrosion reasons. However, there are practically no limits to the color and design options.
According to a special feature of the invention, the intermediate plate is arranged horizontally. The advantage here is that the U-profile achieves optimum stability, and any load capacity calculated in advance can also be guaranteed.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, the intermediate plate has at least one groove in the longitudinal direction of the profile on the side facing the flank ends
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
on. This groove can serve to guide the fastening means shown later.
According to a further development of the invention, at least one rib is arranged on both flanks between the intermediate plate and the base of the profile bar at the same distance from the intermediate plate. These ribs serve as a support for additionally arranged profiles, which increase the stability of the profile bar.
A profile with a simple rectangular cross section can be inserted into the profile bar.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, extensions provided with a horizontal bearing surface are provided as supports on the flank ends with respect to the vertical central axis. These extensions work in conjunction with the supports for a secure and stable support for the glass roof panel.
According to a further feature of the invention, profiled glass supports are provided as supports, which are console-like and are arranged at a distance from the projections on the flank surface, the contact surfaces of the projections and the contact surfaces of the profiled glass supports optionally being in one plane.
This ensures that the mounting surface for the glass plates to be mounted is located on one level.
According to a special embodiment of the invention, the profiled glass support with the extension forms a groove for receiving a sealing lip or glass support. These sealing lips ensure a gentle, but very safe, clamping of the glass pane.
According to a further development of the invention, the profiled glass support has a further extension directed towards the vertical central axis on the side opposite its support surface. If necessary, a further rod-shaped profile could be used to increase the stability in the grooves provided by this design.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
According to a further development of the invention, the cross section of the flanks tapers from the intermediate plate to the support. This provides sufficient stability in the area of the intermediate plate.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, the cross section of the flanks tapers from the intermediate plate to the rib. As already mentioned, the stability in the area of the intermediate plate is optimized.
Furthermore, the present invention has for its object to provide a support structure for canopies, for example for a glass roof over a terrace, which ensures simple and efficient installation.
This support structure according to the invention is characterized in that at least two profile bars are connected to one another, the width of the profile bars being the same and the height of one profile bar being at least half the width smaller than the height of the other profile bar and that these profile bars with their flank ends in one plane are arranged. With this invention, it is possible for the first time to produce a supporting structure which, on the one hand, guarantees a mounting surface in one plane and, on the other hand, reflects an optical unit with the glass surface for those interested in the supporting structure. Of course, a third profile rod could also be provided, which again has the same width, but whose height is again at least half the width smaller.
Furthermore, the advantage of the flat mounting surface is that it provides a completely flat glass surface, so that there is no possibility of dirt or the like being deposited.
According to a special feature of the invention, the distance of the intermediate plate from the flank ends is reduced by the thickness of the intermediate plate of the profile rod which is larger in height in the case of the profile bar which is smaller in height. Good stability can thus be achieved in the connection of the two profile bars
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
Flank end extends to the intermediate plate and the other profile bar has at least one base part offset by half the width of the profile bar,
the projecting part of the profile bar rests on the intermediate plate of the other profile bar and all the support surfaces lie in one plane. This ensures that the higher profile bar always acts as the main beam, which greatly simplifies the calculation of the statics. In addition, this ensures that there is always a flawless and clean impact. Above all, this contributes to the good visual impression.
According to a special embodiment of the invention, the profile rod, which is smaller in height, lies with its intermediate plate on the intermediate plate of the profile rod, which is larger in height. As already mentioned, a stable and compact connection of the two profile bars is achieved.
According to one embodiment of the invention, the longitudinal axes of the profile bars are vertical. An impressive grid support structure can be created.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, the longitudinal axes of the profile bars are arranged at any angle, the relevant edges and surfaces of the profile bars being cut to the appropriate miter. With these simple means, there are no limits to the creativity of the designer. Visually attractive designs can be realized in this way.
According to a special feature of the invention, for mounting the glass plates on the profiled glass supports, the glass plates are arranged with a gap at their joint, which is preferably provided in the center of the width of the profiled rod, and one is arranged above the joint of the glass plates to fix the glass plates
Rosette provided, which is anchored to the intermediate plate via a fastening means. The easy-to-carry bracket is advantageous
Glass plates on the supporting structure. The attachment can be done quickly and safely by one person.
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
According to a further embodiment of the invention, a glass support is arranged between the glass plate and the profiled glass support. This avoids shear stresses on the glass, which increases the lifespan of the roof.
According to a development of the invention, the glass covering is made of hard rubber or EPDM with a rubberized surface. Such materials have proven their worth.
According to a further feature of the invention, the glass support corresponds to the width of the profile bar. So the visual impression is not disturbed, also from the side of the supporting structure.
According to one embodiment of the invention, the intermediate space is filled with a filler. This allows thermal expansion to be compensated for in the simplest way. There is also a water barrier.
According to a special embodiment of the invention, the filler is silicone. This material has proven itself very well for such tasks.
However, the invention is also based on the object of creating a roofing system, for example for a glass roofing of a terrace, which can be carried out in a B-part production and whose storage is limited to a few parts.
The roofing system according to the invention is characterized in that at least one profile bar, at least one chapter receiving the profile bar and at least one column supporting the chapter, arranged in or on the floor, and fastening means are provided. With this invention it is possible for the first time to offer a modular system on the market which is stored in the hardware stores as B-parts and which can be manufactured or assembled using the DIY process.
A prerequisite for this is a suitable plan and a tool for cutting the profile bars to length in the hardware store.
<Desc / Clms Page number 7>
According to a special feature of the invention, a rain gutter is provided on the profile bar delimiting the roof. This prevents the wall or wall from getting wet.
According to a development of the invention, the rain gutter is designed as a profile strip. This part can also be manufactured as a B part.
The invention is explained in more detail with reference to exemplary embodiments which are shown in the drawing.
1 shows a cross section through the profile bar, FIG. 2 shows a connection of two profile bars of a supporting structure, and FIG. 3 shows a section of a roofing system.
In the introduction, it should be noted that in the described embodiment, the same parts or states are provided with the same reference symbols or the same component names, the disclosures contained in the entire description being able to be applied analogously to the same parts or states with the same reference symbols or the same component names.
Furthermore, individual features from the exemplary embodiment shown can also represent independent solutions according to the invention.
1, the profile rod 1, which is in particular a purlin profile, is designed as a hollow profile and has an essentially U-shaped cross section.
Such a profile bar 1 is used above all for roofs with large spans, for example for a glass roof over a terrace.
Of course, panels made of another material, such as plastic, but also chipboard or wood, could also be used for a roof. However, it is also conceivable to prefabricate so-called tongue and groove boards into panels or panels and to use roof elements of this type.
<Desc / Clms Page number 8>
Due to the good material properties, aluminum is particularly suitable for the production of such profile bars 1, the production itself being able to be carried out using the extrusion process. A powder coating of the profile bars 1 can also be carried out.
To support the roof elements, the profiled bar 1 has supports 2 directed at its free flank ends to the vertical central axis. To enlarge the support surface, extensions 3 and, on the other hand, profiled glass supports 4 are provided on both free flank ends toward the vertical central axis, provided with a horizontal support surface. Of course, the support surfaces of the extensions 3 and the support surface of the profiled glass supports 4 are arranged in one plane.
A, preferably horizontal, intermediate plate 5 is provided in the interior of the profiled rod 1 at a distance from the free flank ends. This intermediate plate 5 serves on the one hand to increase the stability of the profile bar 1 and on the other hand - as will be shown later - for fastening the flat, plate-shaped elements, such as glass plates or the roof elements. Furthermore, this intermediate plate 5 has at least one groove 6 in the longitudinal direction of the profile on the side facing the flank ends.
The profiled glass support 4 forms with the extension 3 a groove 7 which can serve for receiving a sealing lip, not shown. Furthermore, the profiled glass support 4 can have a further extension 8 directed towards the vertical central axis on the side opposite its support surface. A profile (not shown) can be arranged in these opposite grooves formed in this way to increase the stability.
The profile bar 1 has between the intermediate plate 5 and the base of the profile bar 1 at the same distance from the intermediate plate 5 in the interior on both flanks at least one rib 9 each. These ribs 9 can also accommodate additional profiles to increase stability.
<Desc / Clms Page number 9>
For the manufacturing process, that is to say preferably for the extrusion process, of the profiled rod 1, it has proven to be advantageous that the cross section of the flanks tapers from the intermediate plate 5 to the support 2 or from the intermediate plate 5 to the rib 9.
2 shows a connection of two profile bars 1 to a support structure. Both profile bars 1 have the same width B, but the height H of one profile bar 1 is at least half the width B smaller. When the two profile bars 1 are connected or butted, the profile bar 1, which is larger in height H, has a recess 10 in the flank surface which extends to the intermediate plate 5. The length of the recess 10 corresponds to the width B of the profile bar 1. For the connection of the profile bars 1, the other, that is to say the profile bar 1 which is smaller in height H, has a base part offset by half the width B.
The projecting part 11 of the profile bar 1 lies for connection on the intermediate plate 5 of the profile bar 1 which is larger in height H, with all the supports 2

of intermediate plate 5 rests on the intermediate plate 5 of the profile rod 1, which is larger in height H.
When the profile bars 1 are connected, their longitudinal axes can be arranged perpendicularly or at any angle to one another. If the profile bars 1 are arranged at an angle, all relevant edges and surfaces are cut to the appropriate miter.
Glass plates 12 are mounted on the profiled bars 1 or on the supporting structure made from the profiled bars 1 in such a way that the glass plates 12 with their joint, which is provided in the middle of the width B of the profiled bar 1, rest on the extensions 3 and the profiled glass supports 4 . When the glass plates 12 are butted, an intermediate space is provided which is filled with a filler 13, in particular silicone. To fix the glass plates 12 is a via their butt

Rosette 14 arranged, which is anchored in the intermediate plate 5 via a fastening means 15. A glass support 16, which can be made of hard rubber or EPDM and whose width corresponds to the width of the profile rod 1, is optionally arranged between the glass plate 12 and the contact surfaces of the extensions 3 and the profiled glass supports 4.
According to FIG. 3, a section of a roofing system is shown, which contains the profile bars 1 or the supporting structure made therefrom. In all likelihood, the tallest profile bar 1 will be used as the main girder. For reasons of stability, such a main carrier is preferably used on the side edge or as a central carrier. Such a profile bar 1 used as the main support is directly supported in a chapter 17, which has a longitudinal groove 18 corresponding to the cross section for receiving the profile bar 1. This chapter 17 sits at the free end of a column 19 which is arranged in or on the floor.
Depending on the size of the roof, further, lower profile bars 1 are used as intermediate beams according to the connection of the support structure described above. Of course, the intermediate girders or an intermediate girder with a main girder connecting / referred to as struts can be used for increasing the statics.
It is important that the profile bars 1 always have at least half a width B of the profile bar 1 of low height H, according to their connection in the supporting structure. This gives a gap-free connection joint.
Furthermore, the roofing system also contains a rain gutter 20. This rain gutter 20 is arranged on the profile bar 1 delimiting the roofing, that is to say predominantly on the main girder. This gutter 20 is designed as a profile strip.
The cross section is essentially a right angle, one leg 21, possibly with a glass support 16, resting on the support surfaces of the extensions 3 or the profiled glass support 4 and the other leg 22 pointing in the opposite direction of the profile bar 1, i.e. the direction of the firmament .
This leg 22 has a further leg 23 at an acute angle to repel the rain water. The leg 22 can be placed over the leg 21

be extended, whereby a good adaptation to the flank surface of the profile rod 1 is achieved. In addition, the leg 21, which rests on the contact surfaces of the profile bar 1, has a, preferably rectangular, bend 24 pointing in the direction of the firmament, which serves as the actual gutter for the rainwater. Of course, the leg 23 is designed in such a way that the rainwater derived from it flows into this channel. The space between the crank 24 and the glass plate 12 can again be filled with a filler 13, in particular silicone.
