 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 4>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 5>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 6>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 7>

   Detachable wood corner connection for furniture parts The invention relates to a detachable wood corner connection for furniture parts, in particular for connecting plate-shaped furniture parts, for. B. frame parts of a bed frame.

  Such a releasable corner connection is such. B. from the German utility model G 85 35 593. 3 known. The corner connector described here preferably consists of a cylindrical pin, which is inserted into an associated cylindrical bore in each part to be connected. The disadvantage of this corner connector is that it can only absorb high forces in the longitudinal direction of the cylindrical pin, while in the transverse direction of the pin only a small load on the corner connection is possible.

  From the published patent application DE 23 53 684 A1, a corner connection for plate-shaped wooden parts has become known, the parts to be connected being prevented from mutual displacement in the miter direction by engaging locking members, the locking members consisting of a centering spring engaging in a centering groove. This connection also has the disadvantage that it sometimes only withstands small loads, so

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

 that the connection is preferably reinforced by gluing or hot gluing.

   The present invention has for its object to develop a releasable wooden corner connection of the type mentioned, wherein a connection is to be created that is easily detachable without tools on the one hand and on the other hand can absorb high forces in all three spatial directions.

  This object is achieved by the features specified in claim 1.

  According to the invention, an approximately cuboidal corner connecting part is provided which has at least two side surfaces which extend in the longitudinal direction and are approximately trapezoidal in cross-section, the at least two furniture parts to be connected to one another extending along the end face and which have approximately trapezoidal springs in cross-section and which fit into the Intervene in the grooves of the corner connection part, the grooves and the springs narrowing in the longitudinal direction in a wedge-shaped or pyramid-shaped manner, so that there is a self-strengthening, high-strength connection between the furniture parts and the corner connection part.

  Advantageously, the groove-spring connection, which is approximately trapezoidal in cross-section, achieves a high load-bearing capacity in the connection area, while the wedge-shaped or truncated pyramid-shaped grooves or springs result in a self-tightening, backlash-free connection when the springs are inserted into the grooves, but this results from the application of force is easily detachable again in the opening direction of the wedge-shaped grooves.

  In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the wood corner connection is part of a bed frame which comprises a plurality of furniture parts connected to the corner connection parts in the form of front, back and side parts. After a corresponding miter has been attached to the outer frame parts of the bed frame, the miter of the wooden parts to be put together has a very precise fit, because the corner connection can transmit high loads without play and the miter cuts then hold together in a tight fit.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 3>

   The trapezoidal grooves advantageously extend over the entire length of the corner connecting part, and likewise over the entire length of the end faces of the furniture parts to be assembled.

  In an advantageous embodiment, the corner connecting part is designed as a furniture foot or part of a furniture foot of the bed frame. If the corner connecting part represents only part of the furniture base, the furniture base is preferably approximately L-shaped in cross-section and comprises two interconnected outer strips and two inner strips connected to one another and each connected to the outer strips, the inner strips being shorter than the outer strips, so that the outer strips protrude upwards over the inner strips.

  The corner connecting part now lies with one end face on the end faces of the inner strips and lies with two of its side faces on the inner sides of the outer strips. A firm connection between the corner connecting part and the inner or Outer strips can e.g. B. can be achieved by gluing.

  A further development of the invention provides that the outer strips of the furniture foot and the side, front and back parts of the bed frame are covered with mitred edge strips which are connected to the furniture feet and the side, front and back parts.

  In a further embodiment, the side parts and / or the front / back parts are provided on their underside with a support strip which extends in the longitudinal direction and which essentially serves to support the slatted frame. The cross-section of the support bar is shaped in such a way that an upwardly open groove is formed between it and the side, front or back parts. With the help of this groove, additional furniture parts or additional parts can advantageously be arranged on the bed frame, these additional furniture parts having at least one hanging leg which extends at right angles downwards along the inside of a side, front or rear part, the leg end of the hanging leg into the groove formed by the support strip intervenes.

   As a result, the piece of furniture is supported securely on the bed frame by the force exerted by the mattress on the hanging leg. On

 <Desc / Clms Page number 4>

 such a piece of furniture could, for. B. a bedside table, a shelf, or a
Be backrest.

   To further stabilize the connection, the support strips are preferably mitred at their ends so that they hold together in a tight fit.

   The invention is described below using an exemplary embodiment
Reference to several drawing figures explained in more detail. Further features and advantages of the drawings and their description
Invention. In the concrete example, a bed frame is shown, which is held together by the wooden corner connection according to the invention.

  FIG. 1 shows a plan view of a bed frame with wooden
Corner connection; Figure 2: Side view of the bed frame according to Figure 1; Figure 3: Floor plan of the bed frame according to Figures 1 and 2 in section; Figure 4: Section through a foot of the bed frame along section line G3-

G1-G2 in Figure 2; Figure 7: Section through the bed frame in the corner area along the cutting line
A1-A2 in Figure 1; Figure 8: Section through the bed frame in the corner area according to Figure 7 with attached additional furniture part.

  Figures 1 and 2 show a plan view and side view of a bed frame 1, which essentially consists of four foot parts 5, to each of which two side parts 6 and a front and a rear part 7 are connected. The bed frame is provided on the top with a circumferential edge strip 2, and on the inside with a preferably circumferential support strip 3 for the

 <Desc / Clms Page number 5>

 Slatted frame, wherein an upwardly open groove 4 is formed between the support bar 3 and the side or front and rear part.

  As can be seen in FIG. 3, the side parts 6 or front and back parts 7 are connected to one another by means of a corner connecting part 16, which corner connecting part 16 is arranged in each case in the foot 5 of the bed frame 1.

  FIG. 4 shows the structure of a foot 5 of the bed frame 1, which essentially consists of two outer strips 8, 9 which are connected to one another via a tongue and groove connection 10, 11, and two inner strips 12 connected to the outer strips 8, 9 and connected to one another, 13, which are also connected to one another via a tongue and groove connection 15.

  In FIG. 5 it can be seen that the inner strips 12, 13 are shorter than the outer strips 8, 9 of the foot 5, so that the outer strips 8, 9 protrude upward over the inner strips 12, 13. The corner connecting part 16 is arranged in the corner of two connected outer strips 8, 9, and its length is such that it rests with the lower end face on the inner strips 12, 13 and is flush with the outer strips 8.9 at the top. The free side surfaces of the corner connecting part 16 each have a groove 17, 18 which runs in the longitudinal direction and has an approximately trapezoidal cross section, wherein it can be seen that the grooves 17, 18 narrow approximately wedge-shaped in the longitudinal direction. The grooves 17, 18 are therefore wider in their upper area than in the lower area.

  FIG. 6 now shows that the side or front / rear parts 6, 7 are connected to the corner connecting part 16, in which the side; Front and rear parts 6, 7 are provided at their front edges with springs 19, 20 which are trapezoidal in cross section and which engage in the grooves 17, 18 of the corner connecting part 16 without play, the springs 19, 20 being in the same manner as the grooves 17 , 18 narrow downwards in a wedge shape, so that when the springs 19, 20 are inserted into the grooves 17, 18, a self-strengthening, heavy-duty connection between the furniture parts 6, 7 and the corner connecting part 16 results.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 6>

   Furthermore, the support bar 3, which is in each case on the
The inside of the furniture parts 6, 7 is arranged, an upwardly open groove 4 being formed between the support bar 3 and the furniture parts 6, 7.

  On the furniture parts 6, 7 or the furniture foot 5 and the corner connecting part 16 there is the already mentioned edge strip, which is mitred in the connecting areas, so that an extraordinarily good fit results.

  The same applies to the support bar 3, which is also mitred in its connecting areas.

  7 and 8 clearly show the wedge-shaped narrowing of the groove 18 of the corner connecting part 16 into which groove 18 the tongue 20 of the side part 6 engages. Furthermore, one can see the support bar 3 arranged at the lower end of the side part 6, which is fitted into the side part 6 via a tongue and groove connection 21, 22 and glued to it.

  Between the side part 6 and the support bar 3 there remains an upwardly open groove 4, which has the purpose of holding an additional piece of furniture on the bed frame 1.

  FIG. 8 shows precisely this additional attachment of a furniture part 24 in the form of a support, which has a hanging leg 25 angled downwards, which extends downward along the side wall 6 in the direction of the groove 4. The furniture part 24 rests on the one hand on the edge strip 2, the leg end 26 of the hanging leg 25 engaging in the groove 4 which is formed between the support strip 3 and the side part 6. The furniture part 24 is thus suspended in the groove 4 and thus firmly anchored to the bed frame 1. This furniture part 24 is given additional support by the fact that the slatted frame resting on the support bar 3 rests on the hanging leg 25 and also the mattress or bed cover applied to the slatted frame.

   Thus, storage surfaces, bedside tables, backrests, shelves, etc. can be attached to the bed frame 1 in an easily detachable manner and also easily along z. B. the side part 6 of the bed frame within the groove 4.

  The above-described embodiment of a wooden corner connection for a bed frame is in no way to be interpreted as limiting the invention. Of course, all suitable furniture parts can be made by means of the inventive

 <Desc / Clms Page number 7>

 Wood corner connection are connected to each other, whereby the use of the wood corner connection in bed frames offers the greatest possible flexibility in bed frame construction. This is because, by using the wooden corner connection according to the invention, bed frames with differently long side parts 6 or differently long front and rear parts 7 can be put together in a simple manner, so that a bed system results which can be combined as desired by the user.
