Verfahren zur Bleichung von Fetten, Ölen, Harzen, Wachsen u. dgl.
Das vorliegende Verfahren zum Bleichen von Ölen, Fetten, Harzen, Wachsen, Wollfett, Mineralölen und dergleichen besteht darin, dass man die angeführten Stoffe vorteilhaft bei Temperaturen von etwa 1000 mit organischen Superoxyden behandelt. Es hat sich die bisher unbekannte Tatsache gezeigt, dass die organischen Superoxyde sowohl der aliphatischen, wie der aromatischen Reihe in Ölen, Fetten, Wachsen, Harzen, Mineralölen, Mineralfetten und dergleichen löslich sind und namentlich beim Erwärmen, aber auch bereits in der Kälte unter Ausübung einer Bleichwirkung zerfallen.
Bei diesem Verfahren ergibt sich besonders der Vorteil, dass Emulsionen, die sich sonst bei Anwendung wässeriger Bleichmittel bilden und grosse Schwierigkeiten in der Fabrikation verursachen, vollkommen vermieden werden. Das Öl bleibt im Gegenteil vollkommen blank ; es tritt keinerlei Ausscheidung, Salzbildung etc. ein und es ist daher jegliches Filtrieren oder Dekantieren des gebleichten Öles überflüssig.

trotzdom eine bleichwirkung eingetreten ist, indem nämlich die erhaltene Seife wesentlich heller ist als die ans unbehandelten Ölen oder Fetten erhaltene. Derartige Erscheinungen zeigen sich 1. B. beim Sulfuröl. Auch hat es sich in einigen Fällen als vorteilhaft erwiesen, nach der HL-handIung mit organischen Superoxyden eine weitere Be- handlung mit anderen bekannten Reinigungsmitteln, z. B. Alkalilauge oder dergleichen vorzunehmen. Das Verfahren ist auch für Fettsäuren, Mineralole, Mineralwachse, Paraffin und dergleichen anwendbar. Die Menge der verwendeten Superoxyde schwankt je nach der Farbe des Ausgangsmaterials und der gewünschten Farbe des Endproduktes.
Im allgemeinen hat sich die Menge von 0.. 1-0. 20/0 für vorteilhaft erwiesen. Es können aber auch noch geringere oder grössere Mengen angewendet werden.
Das Verfahren wird derartig ausgeführt, dass man ein Peroxyd, z. B. Benzoyl-Peroxyd, in dem Öle oder Fette löst. Bei festen Fetten wird die Lösung vorteilhaft in der Wärm'-' vorgenommen. Es kann auch bei flüssigen Fetten eine derartige Erwärmung stattfinden.
Man erwärmt auch während des Bleichprozesses vorteilhaft auf etwa 100 bis 1100 und kann auch die Fette in einem indifferenten Mittel, z. B. Benzin, Tetrachlorkohlenstoff lösen und zu dieser Lösung das Peroxyd zusetzen.
Es haben sich alle bekannten Superoxyde als geeignet erwiesen, z. B. Azetylsuperoxyd, Benzoylsuperoxyd. Azetonsuperoxyd. Ebenso die Anlagerungsprodukte von Stickstofftetroxyd und dergleichen an organische Verbindungen, die nach neueren Anschau \1ngen gleichfalls als Superoxyde aufzufassen sind.

The present process for bleaching oils, fats, resins, waxes, wool grease, mineral oils and the like consists in treating the substances mentioned with organic superoxides, advantageously at temperatures of about 1000. The hitherto unknown fact has been shown that the organic superoxides of both the aliphatic and the aromatic series are soluble in oils, fats, waxes, resins, mineral oils, mineral fats and the like, and especially when heated, but also when exercised in the cold decay under a bleaching effect.
This process has the particular advantage that emulsions which otherwise form when using aqueous bleaching agents and cause great difficulties in manufacture are completely avoided. On the contrary, the oil remains completely bare; there is no excretion, salt formation, etc. and there is therefore no need to filter or decant the bleached oil.

in spite of the fact that a bleaching effect has occurred in that the soap obtained is significantly lighter than the oil or fats obtained from the untreated. Such phenomena appear, for example, with sulfur oil. In some cases it has also proven to be advantageous, after the HL treatment with organic superoxides, to carry out a further treatment with other known cleaning agents, e.g. B. to make alkali or the like. The method can also be used for fatty acids, mineral oils, mineral waxes, paraffin and the like. The amount of superoxide used will vary depending on the color of the starting material and the desired color of the end product.

The process is carried out in such a way that a peroxide, e.g. B. Benzoyl peroxide, in which oils or fats dissolve. In the case of solid fats, the solution is advantageously carried out in the heat. Such heating can also take place in the case of liquid fats.
It is also advantageous to heat to about 100 to 1100 during the bleaching process and the fats can also be mixed in an inert medium, e.g. B. gasoline, carbon tetrachloride and add the peroxide to this solution.
All known super oxides have proven to be suitable, e.g. B. acetyl peroxide, benzoyl peroxide. Acetone superoxide. Likewise, the addition products of nitrogen tetroxide and the like with organic compounds, which, according to more recent observations, are also to be regarded as superoxides.
