Der so erhaltene Farbstoff kann entweder direkt zum Färben benutzt oder aber einer weiteren Reinigung durch Nachbehandlung mit Natriumhypochlorit unterworfen werden. Zu letzterem Zweck wird der Rohfarbstoff mit Wasser zu einem dünnen Brei angerührt, hierauf Natriumhypochloritlösung zugesetzt und die Mischung bei gewöhn-   licher oder erhöhter Temperatur (Wasserbad) ca. eine Stunde durchgerührt.

   Sodann wird filtriert, mit Wasser gewaschen und getrocknet. Der Farbstoff bildet ein braungelbes Pulver,
