Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>

Process for dyeing and printing using reduction products of oxyanthraquinones.
Patent specification No. 46184 showed that the products obtainable from oxyanthraquinones by reducing the keto groups are valuable mordant dyes.
The surprising observation has now been made that these products can also be used as acidic wool dyes and that they can be used to create strong,
EMI1.1
Example 1.
For 1001 g wool.
The wool is placed in a dye bath filled with 2 to 5 kg of acetic acid and 10 kg of 20% deoxyalizarin paste with the wool at 50 to 600 ° C., slowly drifted into the cake and cooked for 3/4 to 11/2 hours. In this way, a brown of very good flexing fastness is obtained.
Example: L
For 100 wool.
EMI1.2
Example 3.
For 100 wool.
The bath contains 2 to 5 kg of acetic acid and 2 kg of deoxyflavopurpurin in powder. It goes in at 400 C, slowly brought to the boil and cooked for 3/4 to 11/2 hours. This gives strong brown, well-leveling dyeings of very good millfastness.
The products mentioned are printed on in a corresponding manner.
