   Der Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung ist eine weitere Ausgestaltung des bereits bekannten schmiedeeisernen Glühcylinders mit   gesehweisstcn   Nähten, bei dem ein mit Hebeösen versehener, für die Deckelauflage ausgekröpfter Rand zur Auf lagerung des Deckels vorhanden ist. 



   Das Kennzeichen der vorliegenden Erfindung besteht darin, dass der für die Deckelauflage dienende ausgekröpfte Rand aus profiliertem Eisen für sich hergestellt ist und mit dem Mantel des Cylinders und den Hebeösen durch   Schweissung   verbunden ist. 



   Die Zeichnung veranschaulicht den Erfindungsgegenstand beispielsweise in einer Ausführungsform für die Aufnahme eines Deckels. An dem oberen Teile des Glühcylinders 1 setzt sich der aus profiliertem Eisen hergestellte Rand 2 und an diesen   wieder'die Tragösen   3 an. Die Tragösen 3 sind mit dem   ausgekröpften   Rand und dieser mit dem Cylindermantel 1 durch Schweissung verbunden. 



   Durch diese Ausführungsform wird eine weit grössere Stabilität des   GHihcy1inders   und eine bessere und dichtere Auflagerung des Deckels erzielt. Eine Zerstörung des Cylinders an dem oberen Teile desselben, welche bei Glühtöpfen durch die hohe Beanspruchung zu befürchten ist, ist während des Betriebes fast ausgeschlossen.   Ausserdem   ermöglicht dieser für sich hergestellte ausgekröpft Rand'eine nochmalige Verwendung, falls der Mantel unbrauchbar geworden sein sollte.

   The subject of the present invention is a further embodiment of the already known wrought-iron annealing cylinder with welded seams, in which an edge provided with lifting lugs and cranked for the cover support is provided to support the cover.



   The characteristic of the present invention is that the cranked edge serving for the cover is made of profiled iron and is connected to the jacket of the cylinder and the lifting eyes by welding.



   The drawing illustrates the subject matter of the invention, for example in an embodiment for receiving a cover. The edge 2 made of profiled iron is attached to the upper part of the annealing cylinder 1 and the eyelets 3 are attached to this again. The eyelets 3 are connected to the cranked edge and this to the cylinder jacket 1 by welding.



   This embodiment achieves a far greater stability of the GHihcy1inders and a better and more compact support of the cover. Destruction of the cylinder on the upper part of the same, which is to be feared in glow pots due to the high stress, is almost impossible during operation. In addition, this cranked edge produced for itself enables repeated use if the jacket should have become unusable.
