Abstract
Schmelzanlage mit einer Schmelzkammer (190), die durch eine Gasschutzhaube (20), gegen die Umgebung abgetrennt ist, wobei die Gasschutzhaube (20) oder ein sonstiges Teil der Schmelzkammerumhüllung eine Durchführung (30) aufweist, in der eine Elektrodenstange (40) zur Bewegung einer zu schmelzenden Elektrode (70) über ein Dichtmittel gasdicht geführt ist. Ausgleichsmittel, insbesondere hydraulische oder pneumatische Ausgleichsmittel sind vorgesehen, um Kräfte auf die Elektrodenstange (40) auszuüben, die in einem proportionalen Zusammenhang zu dem innerhalb der Schmelzkammer vorherrschenden Gasdruck stehen, um so die Gasdruckkräfte auf die Elektrodenstange (40) zu kompensieren.
