  Identification marks for hats.

It is well known that men's hats look more or less similar, so that it is often difficult to find the right hat from an occupied cloakroom stand.

In order to avoid confusion, signs are attached to the hat lining inside the hat, but one is always forced to remove the hats one by one from the stand and look into them.

The present invention relates to an identifier for hats in which these disadvantages are avoided. It consists of a tablet that can be swiveled between two plates. These plates are sewn to the hat within the hat band in such a way that they are completely covered by the band and when the plate is pivoted down, only a small, outwardly bent edge on this protrudes over the hand of the hat. When you hang the hat on the cloakroom, you grab the tablet on this hook and swivel it upwards so that it now protrudes from the hat band.

The tablet is provided with an inscription, a sign or a picture so that you can find the right one at first glance from the outside without touching the hat.

The design of the identification mark is arbitrary. It can be made of enamelled sheet metal, silver, gold or the like.

The invention is shown in the drawing in three figures. 1 and 2 show the identification symbol in cross section and view, FIG. 3 attached to a hat on a smaller scale.

1 is a curved double plate, 2 the tablet, S are attachments, which are attached by sewing or pinning, 4 is the edge that is bent outwards and can be touched.
