Die vorliegende Erfindung hat ein Verfahren zur Herstellung selen-und tellurhaltiger farbiger Körper zum Gegenstande. Die Erfindung beruht auf der Beobachtung,

die aus selenhaltigen bzw. tellurbaltigen reuen Verbindungen bestehen.
Unter den Salzen des Tellurs und Selens haben sich insbesondere die Ammonium-, Natrium-und Kalisalze des Selenzyans und des Tellurzyans, die in Wasser löslich sind, als geeignet herausgestellt.
Um die Ausführung des neuen Verfahrens an einem Beispiele zu erläutern, mögen folgende Angaben dienen.
10 Teile technisches Eosinnatrium werden in 10 Teilen Wasser gelöst. Zu dieser Lösung gibt man etwa 4 Teile Selenzyankalium, worauf zunächst eine Lösung dieses Salzes erfolgt. Nach kurzer Zeit beginnt jedoch die Ausscheidung eines dunkelrot gefärbten Niederschlages, der sich nach mehreren Stunden von der darüber stehenden Flüssigkeit trennen lässt. In dem Niederschlage ist das Selen leicht nachweisbar.
Die neuen Körper stellen vorzügliche Farbstoffe dar, die dazu dienen. das Selen und Tellur in den tierischen Körper einzuführen, wodurch sich Selen und Tellur auch an solche Stellen der Körpers führen lassen, wohin diese Stoffe mit den bisher bekannten Verbindungen noch nicht hingeführt werden konnten.
Führt man z. B. die neuen Körper in gelöstem Zustande in die Blutbahn weisser Mäuse ein, so besitzen sie die Fähigkeit, Geschwülste dieser rot zu färben, eine Eigentümlichkeit, die weder das Eosin selbst zeigt, noch auch bei einem anderen Farbstoff bisher beobachtet worden ist. Die so angefärbten Geschwülste unterliegen einem Zerfall und gelangen zur Heilung.
Desgleichen sind die neuen Körper bei weitem nicht so giftig, wie die zu ihrer Herstellung dienenden seien-und tellurzyanwasserstoffsauren Salze.
