  Kontrastmittel für Röntgendurchleuchtungen. 



   Die Röntgendiagnostik der Krankheiten des Urogenitalsystems hat in den letzten Jahren an Bedeutung gewonnen durch die Verwendung anorganischer Jodsalze für die Pyelographie. Man hat z. B. eine 25% ige Jodlithiumlösung eingeführt, deren Anwendung auf dem Wege über die Blase mit Hilfe des Katheters erfolgt, eine Methode, die schmerzhaft ist und sonstige Nachteile hat. 



   Neuerdings hat man versucht, diese Nachteile durch Injektion des von Roseno   (Münehner   medi-   zinische   Wochenschrift 1929, Nr. 14, S. 606) empfohlenen Doppelsalzes von Harnstoff und Natriumjodid, in welchem ebenfalls ein anorganisches Jodpräparat vorliegt, da es in Wasser in seine beiden Bestandteile zerfällt, zu umgehen. Die Erfolge lassen aber zu wünschen übrig. 



   Nach vorliegender Erfindung können für den erwähnten Zweck mit besonderem Vorteil organische Halogenverbindungen verwendet werden. Insbesondere haben sich solche Verbindungen bewährt, die sich durch hohe Löslichkeit, Stabilität des Halogens am Molekül und Indifferenz gegenüber dem Organismus auszeichnen. 



   Man verabreicht z. B. durch Injektion, die   zweckmässig   intravenös erfolgt, eine Lösung von Di-   brom-p-acetaminobenzoesaurem   Natrium oder eine Lösung von 2-Oxo-5-jodpyridin-N-essigsaurem Natrium und kann nach kurzer Zeit in ausgezeichneter Klarheit das Urogenitalsystem auf dem Röntgenschirm darstellen und photographieren. 



   Ferner erzielt man günstige Ergebnisse mit den   leichtlöslichen   Alkali-bzw. Ammoniumsalzen der   Dijodchelidamsäure   (Monatshefte für Chemie, Bd. 5, S. 401), Halogenalkylsulfosäuren, Halogenalkylschwefelsäuren. Es können auch halogensubstituierte Polyoxyverbindungen, wie z. B. Glucosejodhydrin, Verwendung finden. 



   Das unter dem Namen Jodipin bekannte jodierte Sesamöl (Gehes Codex 1926, S. 485) und die im österr. Patent Nr.   120 575   erwähnten Verbindungen sind für die Zwecke der intravenösen Pyelographie nicht brauchbar, da es sich um jodhaltige Fette und Öle handelt, die nicht wasserlöslich sind und daher nicht durch die Niere ausgeschieden werden. Die in den deutschen Patenten Nr. 454641 und Nr.   456166   gekennzeichneten Mittel, die zur röntgenographisehen Darstellung der Gallenblase dienen, kommen für die Zwecke der Pyelographie ebenfalls nicht in Betracht. Sie sind einerseits nicht löslich genug, anderseits aber auch nicht indifferent genug, um in den für die Pyelographie notwendigen, verhältnismässig grossen Mengen dem Organismus zugeführt werden zu können.

   X-ray diagnosis of diseases of the genitourinary system has gained in importance in recent years due to the use of inorganic iodine salts for pyelography. One has z. B. introduced a 25% iodine lithium solution, which is applied by way of the bladder with the aid of the catheter, a method that is painful and has other disadvantages.



   Recently, attempts have been made to remedy these disadvantages by injecting the double salt of urea and sodium iodide recommended by Roseno (Münehner medical Wochenschrift 1929, No. 14, p. 606), which also contains an inorganic iodine preparation, since it is in water in both of his Components disintegrates to bypass. However, the successes leave much to be desired.



   According to the present invention, organic halogen compounds can be used with particular advantage for the purpose mentioned. In particular, those compounds have proven themselves which are characterized by high solubility, stability of the halogen on the molecule and indifference to the organism.

On the one hand they are not soluble enough, but on the other hand they are also not indifferent enough to be able to be supplied to the organism in the relatively large amounts necessary for pyelography.
