Verfahren zum Reinigen von rohem Kienöl.
In weiterer Ausbildung des Verfahrens des Stammpatentes wurde gefunden, dass die Wirkung einer Behandlung des rohen Kienöls mit Ammoniak unter Druck in ganz überraschender Weise verbessert wird, wenn dieselbe bei Gegenwart von Cyaniden, beispielsweise von Cyankalium oder Cyanammonium, erfolgt. Diese Tatsache ist besonders deshalb überraschend, weil die Cyanide allein auf rohes Kienöl nicht reinigend einwirken. Die vorteilhafte Wirkung der Anwesenheit von Cyaniden bei der Behandlung von Kienöl mit Ammoniak unter Druck hat nun anscheinend darin ihren Grund, dass die Cyanide die Überführung dpr aldehyd- und ketonartigen Verunreinigungen in nichtflüchtige bzw. wasserlösliche Kondensationsprodukte begünstigen.
Infolgedessen lässt sich die Reinigung von rohem Kienöl in erheblich kürzerer Zeit und in vollkommf'nerer Weise ausführen, wenn man das Verfahren des Stammpatentes boi Gegenwart von Cyaniden ausführt. Die Menge der erforderlichen Cyanide ist gering und kann beispielsweise 1/2 bis 10,'0 vorn Gewicht des angewendeten Ammoniaks betragen.

In a further development of the process of the parent patent, it was found that the effect of a treatment of the crude pine oil with ammonia under pressure is improved in a very surprising manner if it is carried out in the presence of cyanides, for example potassium cyanide or ammonium cyanide. This fact is particularly surprising because the cyanides alone do not have a cleaning effect on crude pine oil. The advantageous effect of the presence of cyanides in the treatment of pine oil with ammonia under pressure is apparently due to the fact that the cyanides favor the conversion of aldehyde and ketone-like impurities into non-volatile or water-soluble condensation products.
As a result, the purification of crude pine oil can be carried out in a considerably shorter time and in a more perfect manner if the process of the parent patent is carried out in the presence of cyanides. The amount of cyanide required is small and can be, for example, 1/2 to 10.0 of the weight of the ammonia used.
