irradiated until they dissolve, they give off part of their substances to the discharge fluid; By injecting this suspension liquid, a serum was generated in the test animal which is directed not only against bacterial excretions but also against endotoxins. Through further irradiation, this liquid can also be partially detoxified and made suitable for direct injection for healing purposes.
The tubercle bacilli lose part of their colorable substance on irradiation, both the inner substance and the shell, from which it can be seen that they release this substance into the suspension fluid. The same process can be observed in diphtheria bacilli; When irradiated in the diphtheria toxin, they are forced to release part of their substance to the toxin, at the same time the toxin is partially detoxified by the irradiation.
By injecting the suspension fluid, a serum can be generated in the test animal as well as in the sick person, which is directed against both the bacterial toxins and the endotoxins.
