Es sind Scheiben-Unipolarmaschinen bekannt, auf deren Scheiben durch eine Kontaktflüssigkeit (z. B. Quecksilber) geschmierte Bürsten gleiten und derer Scheibenisolatoren über den Umfang der Scheiben hinausragen.
Gemäss der Erfindung werden derartige Scheiben-Unipolarmaachinen dadurch vervollkommnet, dass die über die Scheibenumfänge vorspringende Isolation aus V-odOt dreieck- förmigen Ringen gebildet wird, die mit ihrem breiten Teil an den äusseren Umfängen der Scheiben befestigt sind. Diese ringförmigen Isolierglieder sind, wenn um den Umfang jeder Scheibe in bekannter Weise ein Kupferband gelegt ist, in Nuten eingesetzt, die an den

schicht den Raum zwischen den benachbarten Scheiben überbrückt und dieselben elektrisch verbindet.
Fig. 1 zeigt einen teilweisen Schnitt durch den Anker einer Scheibon-Unipotar- maschine, wie sie in den britischen Patentschriften Nr. 16729 vom Jahre 1906 und
Nr. 13330 vom Jahre 1910 erläutert ist. Fig. 2 ist eine Ansicht eines Teiles der Isolier- ringe und Fig. 3 stellt einen Teil der Ankerscheiben und deren umgebenden Ring dar.
Jede aus Stahl hergestellte Scheibe 17 (Fig. 1) ist mit einem Kupferband 18 ver- sehen und durch eine Scheibe 40 aus Isoliermaterial, wie Glimmer oder dgl., von den anderen getrennt, während zwischen den Kupferbändern 18 Isolierringe 41 von V-oder dreieckförmigem Querschnitt angeordnet sind. Die Ringe 41 springen über die Scheibenumfänge vor und sind mit ihrem breiten Teil in Nuten 42 der Seitenflächen der Kupferbänder 18 eingesetzt. Die Ringe 41 besitzen am äusseren Umfang eine scharfe Kante, 80 dass sich kein Quecksilber auf den äusseren Flächen ablagern'kann.
