Kugelfang.
Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Kugelfang, wie er insbesondere als Schutzblech für Maschinengewehre, Geschütze und dgl. verwendet wird.
Auf der Zeichnung ist ein Kugelfang gemäss der Erfindung in zwei Ausführungsformen dargestellt.
Der in Fig. 1 im Querschnitt gezeichnete Kugelfang besteht erfindungsgemäss aus einer wellenförmigen Platte aus einem geeigneten, widerstandsfähigen Material, deren Scheitelteile allmählich verengt sind. Dieser Kugelfang besitzt den Vorteil, dass seine Widerstandsfähigkeit durch seine besondere Form wesentlich über die seinem Materiale eigene Widerstandsfähigkeit erhöht wird ; an den Scheitelteilen der Plat ! endwellen infolge deren hinsichtlich ihrer Widerstandsfestigkeit günstig gestalteten Form und in den Wellentälern dadurch, dass die Keilwirkung der Scheitelwände wesentlich die Wucht des auftreffenden Geschosses abschwächt, wobei das deformierte Geschoss darin stecken bleibt und ein Gefährden durch Zurückprallen ausschliesst.
Auch die schräg auffallenden Geschosse werden wirkungsvoll abgehalten bzw. deren Wirkung abgeschwächt.
Es ist unter Umständen von Vorteil diesen Kugelfang, so wie in Fig. 2 gezeichnet, auf einer oder auf beiden Seiten durch ein elastisches Material, z. B. Holz, künstliche Faserstoffe, weiches Metall oder dgl., abzudecken, was die Festigkeit der Platte wesentlich unterstützt.
PATENT-ANSPRÜCHE :
1. Kugelfang, insbesondere für Maschinengewehre, Geschütze und dgl., gekennzeichnet durch eine gewellte Platte mit einer Wellenform, deren abgerundete Scheitel durch einem Flaschenprofile entsprechende Seitenflächen (einer Keilform nahekommend) miteinander verbunden sind.
