  Verfahren zum luft-und wasserdichten Umhüllen von Waren. 



   Den Gegenstand der Erfindung bildet ein Verfahren, das auf einfache und billige
Weise ermöglicht, Waren der verschiedensten Art mit wasser-und luftdichten Um-   hüllungen   zu versehen. Das Verfahren besteht darin, dass die zu umhüllende Ware erst mit einer aus natürlichem oder   künstliches ! Darm. Haut,   Leder, Guttapercha, Kautschuk usw. bestehenden Hülle umschlossen und dass dann auf dieser Hülle durch Eintauchen in eine flüssige und später erhärtende Masse oder durch Umgiessen mit einer solchen ein schalen- artiger Überzug gebildet wird. Das neue Verfahren ist zum Verpacken oder Aufbewahren von Flüssigkeiten, breiartigen Massen, wie Pasten, Fetten, Lacken, Leim usw. sowie von
Pulver, Harzen und Überhaupt für solche Waren geeignet, die durch die Einflüsse der
Luft und der Feuchtigkeit leiden.

   Durch die schalenartige Umhüllung werden die Waren für die Dauer sicher vollständig luft- und wasserdicht verschlossen gebalten. 



   Die Ausführung des Verfahrens kann beispielsweise wie folgt bewirkt werden :
Man nimmt einen Darm aus Pergamentpapier, bindet diesen an einem Ende zu und füllt ihn mit der Ware, beispielsweise Marmelade, Senf und dgl. Sodann wird der Darm am anderen Ende geschlossen und in geschmolzenes Wachs, Zeresin, Paraffin, Stearin usw. getaucht, wodurch die Hülle mit einer dünnen Schicht dieser Masse überzogen wird. 



   Danach wird der die Ware enthaltende Darm in eine Lösung aus Schlemmkreide und   Wasserglas g''taucht,   und zwar zweckmässig je nach der gewünschten Stärke des Überzuges   zwei-bis viernial.   Der so   gehildote Überzug   ist nach dem Erhärten fest und genügend widerstandsfalung, um die Ware versenden zu können. Statt Schlemmkreide und Wasserglas kann auch eine andere Masse, beispielsweise eine Leimlösung, Verwendung finden. 



   Der Losung können Sägespäne, Papierabfälle, Sand usw. zugesetzt werden, um eine bessere Bindung und dadurch eine bessere Haltbarkeit der   UmlrHung   zu erzielen. Auch können diese Zusatze noch den   Zweck haben,   die Umhüllung leichter zu machen. 



  Die innere Hülle kann statt aus einem Darm oder Schlauch aus einem Beutel, einer Kapsel, einer Schachtel, beispielsweise auch einer Holzspannschachtel   usw.,   bestehen. 



   Din   neue Verpacknng kann   zur Herstellung eines Ersatzes für Glasflaschen und andere für sich   standfilhige   Gefässe und Behälter Verwendung finden.
