Sleeve 11 on the underside for fastening the apparatus on a tripod complete the equipment of the apparatus.
If storeoscopic images are to be viewed, the focusing screen is pushed into the fold 6, in front of this the double image to be viewed is given and, with the mirror flap 2 open, the image is inspected through the non ats ocnlare serving lenses, whereby the image can be focused by adjusting the latter can. However, if photographic stereoscopic recordings are to be made, the apparatus is expediently attached to a tripod and, after removing the reflective mirror 3 and the stereoscopic image possibly contained in the apparatus, as well as after closing the flap 2, covered with a cloth, pointed at the object to be recorded and focused.
Once this has been done, the lenses now used as objective are covered by a diaphragm, the matt glass is replaced by a cassette of a known type and the recording is carried out in the usual way. The apparatus can also be designed in such a way that the side walls of the housing are formed by a bellows in order to be able to collapse the apparatus into the smallest possible volume for the purpose of easy transport etc. In this case, the adjustability of the lenses may not be possible.
