   Der vorliegende Reflektor für Projektionslampen der hauptsächlich für Kinozwecke bestimmt ist, besteht wie in Fig. 1 in der Draufsicht und in Fig. 2 im Schnitt nach der Linie   A-B,   Fig. 1, dargestellt ist, aus einer an einer Stelle des Umfanges aufgeschnittenen Umdrehungsfläche   1,   deren Erzeugende 2, Fig. 2 von einem nach aussen konvexen Bogen einer Parabel gebildet wird, deren Hauptachse senkrecht steht auf der Umdrehungsaehse. Der Parabelbogen ist symmetrisch zur Hauptachse, die Lage des Brenn-, punktes des erzeugenden Parabelbogens gegenüber der Umdrehungsachse ist von untergeordneter Bedeutung. 



   Das durch die aufgeschnittene Stelle 3 der Umdrehungsfläche dringende, zu Projektionszwecken dienende Licht ist von grosser Stärke ; dabei ist, wie die Erfahrung lehrt, der Kohlenstiftverbrauch der mit dem Lichtbogen in den Durchschnittspunkt der Umdrehungsachse der Reflektorfläche mit der Hauptachse des erzeugenden Parabelbogens aufzustellenden Bogenlampe und ebenso ihr Stromverbrauch wesentlich geringer als unter andern Umständen.

   The present reflector for projection lamps, which is mainly intended for cinema purposes, consists, as shown in Fig. 1 in plan view and in Fig. 2 in section along the line AB, Fig. 1, of a surface of revolution 1 cut open at one point on the circumference , the generatrix 2, Fig. 2 of which is formed by an outwardly convex arc of a parabola, the main axis of which is perpendicular to the axis of rotation. The parabolic arc is symmetrical to the main axis, the position of the focal point of the generating parabolic arc in relation to the axis of rotation is of secondary importance.



   The light penetrating through the cut open point 3 of the surface of revolution and serving for projection purposes is of great strength; Here, as experience shows, the consumption of carbon pencils by the arc lamp to be set up with the arc in the intersection of the axis of rotation of the reflector surface with the main axis of the generating parabolic arc and also its power consumption is much lower than under other circumstances.

PATENT CLAIM: A reflector for projection lamps, characterized in that it consists of a surface of revolution cut open at one point on the circumference, the ovoid end of which is a parabolic arc which is turned outwards with the convex side and is symmetrical to its main axis and this main axis intersects the axis of rotation at the point where the Arc or the light source is to be set up.
