   Entweder bringt man mit Hilfe von Lösungsmitteln, wie Azeton oder Alkoholen, die nach der Behandlung mit Salpetersäure entstandenen   Nitro- und überoxydierten   Produkte in Lösung und erhält im   Rückstande   das reine Wachs oder man bringt mit Hilfe von Lösungsmitteln, wie Benzin oder   Essigäther.   die reine Wachssubstanz zur Lösung und die Nitroprodukte zur Fällung.    Das nach vorliegendem Verfahren gewonnene, gereinigte Montanwachs stellt ein   rötliehgelbes   Wachs von   springhalter   Beschaffenheit dar. das in vielen Eigenschaften dem Carnaubawachs nahesteht. 



  Ausserdem können nach dem vorliegenden Verfahren auch die fettsäureartigen Produkte gereinigt werden. die man gewinnt, wenn man auf Rohmontanwachs unter bestimmten Bedingungen Salpetersäure einwirken lässt. Da diese Produkte sehr leicht verseifbar sind, und nach dem vorliegenden Verfahren keim' schädlichen Verunreinigungen wie   Nitrokör,   per oder Paraffin enthalten, so können diese unter Mitverwendung von Ölen und Fetten leicht zu Seife verarbeitet werden. Hiedurch öffnet die neue Reinigungmethode dem Montanwachs ein neues Verwendungsgebiet, das wirtschaftlich besonders wertvoll ist.
