Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>

Body to be heated electrically.
The parent patent protects electrically heated bodies in which the wire is laid directly under the glaze on the side that is considered for the heat emission without an intermediate layer.
It has now proven to be advantageous to cover the wire with a thin protective layer before painting over it with the glaze, for example by painting over the wire with the clay-moistened hand, coating with varnish, enamelling or the like.
This protective layer prevents any excess silica in the glaze from joining and attacking the metallic wire. The intermediate layer is so thin that, in practice, the wire is still directly under the glaze.
It is also not necessary to guide the wire in a zigzag shape, but the same can be laid in any shape on the surface intended for heat emission.
