Abstract

In a process for anodizing metallic workpieces (4), in particular aluminium and aluminium-alloy workpieces, the workpieces are exposed to an electrolyte flow in an electrolyte bath (2) freely or by means of a workpiece chamber. The electrolyte flow is removed from the electrolyte bath by a pipe circuit or the like and after being passed through a cooler (8), is fed back into the electrolyte bath.
