Abstract

The hinge consists of a bracket on which a corner pivot pin (10) is mounted on a horizontal bolt (9). The pivot pin (10) has a recessed web (13) at its end with which it is mounted over the bolt (9) while it is pushed into position after the bracket has been screwed to the window frame. The bolt is held in position by the elastic deformation of the flanges, of the bracket, between which it is mounted. The hinge part, which is mounted on the window frame, has a corner strip which is placed with a vertical sleeve (25) over the pivot pin (10). The moving part of the hinge incorporates a stop (22) with which it lies against the hinge bracket so that the window is supported at a slight angle (24) to the vertical.
