Abstract

The clamp has a cage (2), a clamping bolt (1) rotatable within a threaded section of the cage and a pressure piece (3) which can move within the cage. The pressure piece can be moved against a contact part (11) by the clamp bolt, the contact part being arranged at an angle to the bolt axis in a cable chamber (9) defined by the cage. The pressure piece is moved linearly along the longitudinal axis of the bolt as the bolt rotates, whereby the pressure piece is held against the free end of the clamp bolt over its entire range of movement by a coil spring (14) in contact with the pressure piece and the cage.
